I used to frequent this little Middle Eastern grocery in the heart of Riverbend, but sadly, not enough of the neighbourhood did. I went one day and there was a notice that the business was closed down. We really need to support the Mom and Pop shops in our neighbourhoods. The prices may be a tad higher, but that’s what is paying their bills and supporting their families. It was a great little shop with friendly owners who had a great deli and grocery. Sad to see it is gone.

Unfortunately this store seems to be closed. As of Nov. 9, 2013 the locks had been changed by an acquisitions company and the shelves and cooler were half empty.

We had our deck party catered from here last night. Home made chicken kabobs, beef/​lamb skewers, and hummus.
It was delicious — all of it.
The owners take such great care to ensure their customers are satisfied.
We are more than happy to support this very local business.

Really great store. Service, quality, prices all five star. Selection is somewhat limited but everything stoked is outstanding. Tons of imported stuff. Meat is great too.

I agree with everything in the other review. We got our turkey here and it was the best turkey we’ve ever had. He even delivered it!!! I just wish there were more people who knew about this little gem because I can only eat so much! More advertising and making it clear what meats with pricing would help get the word out

A great little grocery market located in a strip mall just off Whitemud and 53rd Avenue.
A neat place to go for specialty meats and cheeses. A definite emphasis on middle eastern, french, quebecois and Italian food items.
I should add that the owner is a really friendly guy. If you go in, he’ll let you sample meats and cheeses and chat with you for awhile. Very local deli feel. Make sure you have some free time before going.
