I would not normally book an appointment at this Dynalife but I was looking for one that was open on Saturdays. I ended up deciding against the Saturday appointment and moving it to a Thursday at 5pm but I didn’t move the appointment to the lab closer to my house. That was a mistake. I’m used to the Dynalife labs I go into being organized, quiet and not very busy. I was shocked when I walked in to the Northgate location(on the second level, near the food court) and saw at least 10 people in line ahead of me, plus another 20 – 25 people waiting in the waiting room. Ok. I heard the poor girl at the counter tell every single person over and over that there was an hour and a half wait for walk-ins and that they were clearly running behind. When it was my turn, I asked if there would be a wait for people with appointments. She said yes but that«I can’t give you an estimate.» I got it out of her that it would be «less that an hour»(wow, that narrows it down), but I only ended up having to wait 10 minutes past my scheduled time. I do give her props as she was being very gracious to every person who walked up to the desk, and I could tell that she was really trying to be patient. This location is clearly short staffed as she was the only one at the counter and there were far more empty stations in the back than there were patients waiting. The waiting roomed seemed chaotic, a little disorganized and not entirely clean. I rarely get colds, let alone in the summer, but the day after my appointment here I developed a sore throat, and am now battling a full on summer cold. The man who did my urea breath test(yup, weird) was professional, not very friendly at first but he warmed up to me. I have a friend who works at a different Dynalife location and she told me that Northgate is the biggest and therefore busiest location, at that the staff aren’t altogether very happy working there because of those things. Really no complaints with the staff here. it’s just way too busy and way too disorganized. I won’t bother going to this location again.
