Friendly staff. Good service. I like this restaurant already. The food tastes so delicious. As a Vietnamese, I can rate it as Vietnamese authentic food. Recommended to everyone! Oh, one more thing, there are a lot of vegetarian items to choose from. Look out for the green V symbol on the menu.

Welcome to DangGood The home of fast and friendly service, with loads of vegan and vegetarian options! Winning! My husband and I came for lunch, we were early and Had a chance to see this place pack out for dine in and pick up by 11:30am The staff is super friends and quick. I can hear the chatter that a lot of people are regulars. We ordered Tea — a huge pot was delivered to our table Green onion cakes — delish and the portion size is great. Look around everyone else ordered them too. Satay soup — coconut spicy peanut broth and ‘beef’ the portion was big and it was a nice change from traditional phở it is one of the most popular menu items. I would order it again Ginger beef, which is a ginger sauce and deep fried tofu while the sauce was delish and my husband ate it all he said he would not order again. It wasn’t bad it just wasn’t great. Side order of coconut rice. Total bill 45 $ with tip for lunch for two. On the higher price side for lunch Vietnamese food but the service is great everyone is friendly, it’s clean and busy.

The name says it all. We went here for lunch and the food was amazing. I had the sate beef phở and my wife had the coconut seafood soup. The phở was very tasty, great spiciness and generous portions of beef and noodles. The coconut seafood soup was very good also, my wife loved it. The restaurant got very busy at lunch so if you can, show up early. The service was great. Will I be going back? Phở sure I will. I highly recommend it.

This lovely little Vietnamese spot is luckily in our hood. Everything is usually fresh and well made. They spiced up the wontons a while back, and I preferred the old recipe, but that’s just a matter of preference and not quality. They could change up the menu a bit as its been the same for quite a while now. Overall it’s all well made and either eating in or carrying out, it’s always good. The spring rolls and pork salad rolls are very tasty as is the Phở. The only thing I’ve ordered off the entrée menu I wasn’t impressed with was the coconut curry chicken-I’ve had better. It’s definitely worth a try.

Excellent service friendly little fellow seems to work long hours and always appears to be energenic and egar to look after the details The atmosphere is relaxing food is awesome too. I frequent the place often seems the music all sounds the same and the fish aren’t real. Great place to meet for lunch!

Of all the silly names for Vietnamese places, this has got to be one of my faves! Dang good is indeed dang good. The portions are the perfect size. The phở broth is so, so good. Very light, yet still flavourful. The noodles were fresh and the meat was good. Service was very friendly and attentive, and the food arrived quickly considering how busy the restaurant was.

This is our favourite go-to restaurant — often getting take out instead of dining in. The staff are super friendly and very nice, however that pales in comparison to their fresh, tasty, and simply amazing food. You can tell the quality they put into the ingredients, and the skill at which they assemble the food. My standard order is the five-colour bowl, a delicious assortment of five types of meats(pork, steak, shrimp, chicken, spring roll) served with noodles, veggies, and fish sauce. Amazing! I would highly recommend this for anyone wishing to further their palate and enjoy some dang good food!

This restaurant definitely lives up to its name! We came here for supper one day and was delightfully surprised. They have ample selection and lots of their dishes come with vegetarian options! Their portion sizes are generous and everything we got tasted amazing! Prices are comparable and I know I’ll definitely be coming back in the future. The service wS really fast as well! They had a very large(think like 20+) group in at the same time we were in and it in no way caused our service to be lacking. I’m pretty much ordering from here all the time. It always hits just the right spot! You should come here and check it out yourself! You’ll love it!

This place is awesome. I am a regular. Amazing food amazing service and amazing prices. One Sunday I went in with 2 other people at closing not realizing they close an hour earlier then the rest of the week. They stopped kitchen clean up. Served us and then gave us free dessert :) Like I said they are amazing!

I am a total sucker for vegan Vietnamese food and will go ridiculous lengths to find the perfect bowl of soup. When I heard that one of the owners of Dang Good is(or was) vegan, and that they were able to make many of their options vegetarian, I was THERE. I first visited for Sunday lunch on a drizzly day. The owner was so sweet, and got very excited to hear we were vegan. I was between a few dishes so I asked his favourite. He highly recommended the Satay Soup, which veganized meant some delicious«beef» like protein, veggie broth, with absolutely no compromise in flavour. This soup, alongside an order of green onion cakes, was the perfect, most warming, coziest meal ever. When I raved and rambled to friends about my Satay soup, another pal piped up and told me I needed to try the Spicy Lemongrass soup next! So, after a swim the other night, my friend and I placed a takeout order for two of those, and of course another order of GOC, which we promptly devoured in the car. The soup, however, was devoured outside of Legislature on a chilly-ish night, like an impromptu picnic. GUYS, I don’t know which soup I like best now! I love the Satay for its layers of warm, savoury flavour, and the Lemongrass soup for all the veggies and variety of proteins. In a perfect world I would just mix these soups together everytime so I could have both always. Will be back to Dang Good again and again. I am thinking this will be one of my favourites come winter. Now if only to bribe them to deliver the soup right to me omg.

I must say all their dishes have been at least good. Their ginger beef has been exceptional. The Pad Thai can being pretty decent. Green onion cakes are a good appetizer. The smoothies are pretty good as well. The service however is a little slow. It may be a while before you get served, the dishes come out slow from the kitchen. We were even asked if we could wait a while for the smoothies to be made as they were really busy, settling instead for our waters. I think they may be a little short staffed but perhaps in the future they will be ready for prime time

Checked it out for lunch and was not disappointed. Although the place is certainly busy at lunch(go early to avoid a wait for a table) it is a very clean and presentable restaurant. Ambiance includes a cool aquarium that is actually two large screens with a Finding Nemo-ish scene playing. I like it. They serve Vietnamese food. I ordered a 1 color vermicelli bowl(menu has options up to 5 colors) and got the pork balls — they were huge and served on a kebab which was interesting. I think they may have actually been BBQ’d — either way, they tasted fantastic and so did my vermicelli. I’m looking forward to going back to check out more of their menu.

Some restaurants just have awesome, clever names. Dang Good Restaurant is definitely one of them. I passed by this Vietnamese restaurant a few weeks ago and had made a mental note to check them out. I finally did with a friend on a Wednesday for lunch. I was surprised by how busy the place was — it must be all the business workers that work in the same plaza. Either way, they have a mixture of clientele, which must be how they justify charging more than other Vietnamese places. There were a couple items that looked interesting(coconut seafood soup and the curry coconut platter, but these are pretty steep for lunch at $ 13.50(plus $ 2.50 extra for NOODLES — whaaaat) and $ 15.95 respectively). Sorry Dang Good, but I like my Vietnamese food cheap. That’s why Co Do Hue will never be dethroned, at least not while I’m in this ‘hood. — Vietnamese iced coffee($ 4.50) — these always look bad ass. Seemed a bit on the pricey side but my friend really enjoyed it. — Bun bo hue($ 10.95) — spicy lemongrass beef noodle soup. The BBH was legit! Actually spicy, the broth was full of flavour and depth. As other people have said, they skimp a bit on the meat but the bowl is deceivingly bigger than you expect. The garnishes come in a separate bowl, which was different — a decent mixture of purple cabbage, bean sprouts, basil, lemon wedge and hot pepper. — Dang Good Combo #3($ 15.00) with coconut rice($ 1.50 extra) — comes with a wonton soup, spring rolls and stir fried vegetables with your choice of meat(beef, chicken or prawns). Pretty expensive for a lunch combo, I wouldn’t order it myself but my friend seemed to like it. I had a bite of the coconut rice and it was tasty! Overall, Dang Good was good. The service is fast, friendly and efficient as they take your orders on iPads. Albeit, the prices are a bit more pricey than what you would normally pay. I guess that’s what you pay extra for — when the place is clean and stuff(aka. who cares about that, haha).

I should have eaten at this place when I move in to my apartment last September! And as for my first time trying out Vietnamese food, I would say that this restaurant did a good job in giving their homeland a good rep when it comes to its flavors! The price for the food isn’t also that pricey and the place was set out so neat. I will totally go back here again and will take somebody with me to taste another something that’s so DANGGOOD.

I’m glad I finally took the opportunity to check this place out since it’s so close to home. When trying to decide what we were going to have for dinner I’m glad we chose dang good. I’m a but of a critic when it comes to ethnic foods. For me the more authentic the better and the more westernized the worst. This was quite good, authentic Vietnamese cuisine, compared to other places I’ve been in the city. We had the prawn salad rolls which were nice and fresh and I had 3 color and my husband had spicy lemongrass. Both were delicious We will be back and next time will try the green onion cakes and Phở. Enjoy!

I had been wanting to try out this place for awhile, ever since we drove by the restaurant a while back. I saw its name and it gave me a chuckle. Ever since the hubby and I came back from our trip to Southeast Asia, I had been craving for a bowl of bun bo hue. We arrived after 6 and there were about 3 tables of customers. The restaurant was very clean. The shades were pulled down by the front windows and so it was rather dark inside, the lights aren’t that bright. The menus were nice, clean and modern, somewhat of a rarity in most Asian restaurants. The menu was fairly extensive, with not only Vietnamese items, but Chinese and Thai options as well. Prices are on par with most Asian restaurants in the Edmonton area. although I would say more expensive than the restaurants in Chinatown. I ordered the lemongrass spicy noodle(bun bo hue) and husband ordered the 3 color vermicelli. My bowl arrived and at first I didn’t think it was a lot, but then again the bowl was pretty huge. The broth was flavourful and delicious with a spicy kick. I would say the amount of meat you get is less than average compared to other places, but nonetheless I was full in the end. Husband said they were a bit skimpy on the meat in his dish. By the time we finished our meal, all the tables in the restaurants were full and there was even a small wait by the front door. For 2 entrée dishes, our bill came to about $ 25, which is pretty expensive for Vietnamese food. Nonetheless, I think I would come back to try more items. I was pleased that satay phở is also on the menu, I would definitely want to give that a try.

This little noodle joint was recommended to me by a friend. She almost lives right across the street from the restaurant. We arrived at about 6pm on a Monday. We were the only people in the restaurant with two other tables joining us while we leisurely ate our meal. The restaurant is newly renovated. Dark wooden tables, a coconut tree(fake) and a large digital fish tank decorate the interior. You wait to be seated. Very obviously a family run restaurant. A family that takes great pride in their space. The restaurant is bright and meticulously clean, the bathrooms are immaculate. We were seated by a very lovely lady and given our menus. She took our drink order. The menu had a great selection of different Vietnamese dishes. I have a special place in my heart for Beef Sate Phở and was excited to see that they had it on the menu. Everything is still reasonably priced but a dollar or two more expensive than most noodle joints I have tried. They have the website, but unfortunately don’t have the menu online just yet. A few minutes later a gentleman came out with an Ipad to take our food order. You win points with me automatically with me there because I am a HUGE geek! When the food came out the server wasn’t sure which was which, thankfully I have a great nose and could easily identify the aroma of Lemongrass that my husband had ordered. The server had indicated that the Lemongrass Phở was her favourite and also recommended another dish for our next visit. Of course the Phở is served with the normal accompaniment of sprouts, peppers and herbs. The other table’s food smelled wonderful as well. There was also a fellow that came in to order take out. The Phở was good. The Beef Sate had just the right amount of spice for my liking. It was a good sized bowl, but a little skimpy on the meat. That wasn’t the case with the Lemongrass though — my husband thoroughly enjoyed his meal. The management is working on getting licensed to be able to have liquor on the menu. They are hoping to have this any day now. I will be back again for sure, and will update the rating accordingly. I am also happy to report this restaurant is also fully handicapped accessible!

I finally had the chance to try out this place after dropping off some stuff at my tailor’s place a few doors down, and I liked it! When we arrived at the same time as another couple around 1:30pm, we were the only ones there. But as we sat and ate, more and more small groups of people kept filtering in. The décor inside is very clean and modern, in shades of bright green and brown, and they have an awesome two-monitor virtual fish tank on the back wall that is just entrancing. They have a pretty extensive menu with popular Vietnamese dishes(rather — what I’ve seen on other Vietnamese restaurant menus, I don’t actually know if they are popular) — sizzling platters, wok dishes, rice bowls, vermicelli bowls, noodle soup bowls(among others, including phở, bun bo hue, and peanut sate), and a few combos. They have appetizers and I think desserts as well. We ordered some wings to start, my husband ordered a squid and chicken curry sizzling platter, and I ordered the bun bo hue. The wings were awesome — saucy but still crispy, fragrant with«wok hei», lemongrass, black beans, and fish sauce. They came in a small bed of stir-fried peppers and onions, which we devoured. The shrimp and chicken platter was quite large — could have easily fed two people — loaded with lots of different veggies(love that), tender pieces of chicken breast, and perfectly cooked squid(not rubbery at all). Well balanced flavours — not too spicy but just enough of a kick. Went very well with the bowl of coconut jasmine rice(ordered separately). My bun bo hue was great — the broth was rich and complex, lots of noodles and meats(though no meat balls). It was a pretty big bowl and I had a hard time finishing it! Prices were very reasonable for the quality and fresh food you’re getting. Service was good as well and they do accept credit cards. I will definitely be back!
