Cliff’s Towing Service

I have used them before and was very happy with the service. Price is the same as other companies.
But the last time we needed them it was a several hour screwing over and will never use them again. The problem for them is because of this, we found a better and cheaper company.
Cliff’s has a contract with the EPS, and they take priority. So if you are up for a tow and the police need a tow, you get bumped over them. Not a big deal and I understand.
My issue is that ever few hours we called to ask where the tow truck was, we got the same old song and dance. «It will be about 30 minutes» and this went on for about 4 – 5 hours. It was brutal. Maybe Über should open a towing company???
The lady on the phone was very nice and professional but man… just tell your customer you can’t do it rather than leaving them hanging there for hours.
We called Kingsway towing and they sent a nice flatbed towtruck in about 15 minutes. And it was about $ 80 cheaper, too.
Thanks anyways, Cliff’s! Maybe put an extra truck or two on at nights, or just be honest with your customers and tell them you are too busy.

Don’t trust this company. Cliff’s towing towed my AWD vehicle, damaged it and then denied it ever happened. Firstly they do not follow the codes of practice for towing vehicles. To avoid damaging the differential while turning corners all AWD cars should be placed on a flat deck. The company failed to place my vehicle on a flat deck.
Then after the towing I noticed there was fresh damage on the underside by the wheel well. I mentioned the damages to the towing clerk and Jeff Johnson and was told it had happened during the tow (due to the fresh white transfer while wiping the scrape). I was advised to get a quote and send it over.
After sending a quote I was told to speak with Bryan Phelan. Then Bryan and Jeff ignored my phone calls and emails for over a month. Finally after mentioning civil action, Bryan finally contacts me and claims the damage did not occur during towing. I was told to ‘prove’ the damage in court even though 2 employees of Cliff’s towing confirmed the damage had occurred during towing.
Do not use this towing company! They are not reputable and will slander their own employees in order to make a quick buck.

I have a lowered car so when I asked for a flat deck truck, they gave me a flat deck truck and didn’t fight against it. Wait, what? They didn’t fight against giving me a flat deck? That’s awesome! The estimated wait was 3 hours but the flat deck driver came in about 1.5 hours, which was surprising given how many accidents are happening with the crazy snowfall and ice build-​up we have been having recently!
Kelly, the flat deck truck driver made the towing experience a memorable one. He was very polite and took his time making sure my car would make it up the flat deck without taking any damage by using many pieces of wood to make a ramp. I have heard many horror stories of flat deck drivers hastily pulling cars up the deck without proper usage of wood planks and wrecking front ends and exhausts but Kelly was very skilled!
I highly recommend Cliff’s Towing. My damaged car got moved around in a respectable time without incurring any further damage and the driver was extremely nice and skilled. You can’t get much better than that.
