Awhile back, I was on a relatively long business trip in Edmonton. And during that time there, I did a religious trifecta of sorts — 2 Synagogues and a Unitarian Church! And if you know anything about Unitarian«beliefs», this isn’t really an odd combination. And as it turns out, there are a lot of Jews that end up in Unitarian Congregations. Anyway, my time with Beth Ora was on a Friday evening at the Edmonton JCC. It was somewhat informal and lightly attended. I had a good time and enjoyed Rabbi bat Joseph’s style and the welcoming community. Since my time there, she has moved on and during their search, Rabbi Zari Weiss(formally in the SF East Bay) is filling in as a visiting Rabbi.
