I came here to order a bag of assorted bagels since I hear they make them in house with no preservatives. The lady behind the counter was friendly and pleasant and even sliced the assorted bagels before bagging them for me. So far all the ones I’ve tried are quite tasty and fresh! I was swayed while waiting for my bagged bagels to also order a breakfast bagel with egg and swiss cheese. They use a fresh egg, beaten, but cooked in the microwave(which I find oddly strange). Seasoned with S&P if you want. Overall it tasted pretty good albeit a bit expensive at over $ 4 if i recall.

I stumbled upon this café in between a couple of business meetings I had. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the shop owners baked their own bagels. They aren’t bad for Edmonton, but not worth going out of the way for. But the service is very friendly, the soups are homemade, and the korean food specials are simple and tasty. I think I’d eat here quite a bit if I worked in the area.

With a comfortable and casual atmosphere Beans is a good place for a quick lunch. They have lots of variety on the menu, including fresh sandwiches made to your taste. Pricing is reasonable, a complete lunch for under $ 10.00. There is a fair bit of seating including table and chairs, stools at a bar, and lounge chairs with coffee tables. I like the chili, the pizza bagels and sandwiches. The coffee is good and they have a selection of teas. I agree with others about the staff being friendly.

Beans is staffed by lovely people and its patrons enjoy a clean well-kept space, but the food is pretty average and it’s what you would expect for a small deli-cum-coffee shop. No great surprises, but that can be a welcome change, no? It’s alright.

Beans Café is a nice change from the global coffee shops(Starbucks, Second Cup, etc). The staff here are friendly and nice. The real treat for me at Beans is the pizza bagels. For $ 2.65−2.95 you can get half a bagel with pizza toppings. The bagels are pre-made and toasted once you make your order. Selection is limited, only 4 varieties but they include the standard pizza toppings you would expect(Pepperoni, Ham & Pineapple, etc.). One bagel is great for a light breakfast or grab two for lunch, either way is a great value. Beans also has the standard coffee shop menu. The bagels are there own are 5 star but the rest of the menu is pretty standard so Beans gets 4 stars overall.

The staff at this café are lovely, friendly and willing to provide great service. I also quite enjoy the décor of comfortable chairs, as well as tables and chairs with seat covers. The times I’ve been here, it’s also clean. I came for a sandwich for my lunch and it was served on nice thick bread and was good but it was pricier than other places that I would pay for a sandwich. I’m not what other food they sell besides sandwiches including breakfast sandwiches. I have also had a tea which priced to comparable to other places at less than $ 2. I did enquire once about a veggie and fruit tray but it was too big and quite a bit more expensive than the nearby grocery store. I’m sure I will be back when I need a bite to eat close to work or want a break from the office.

Stopped here for a morning coffee while in town for a conference. I found the service to be quick and friendly. I didn’t get any food, but the soup and sandwiches looked pretty good, plus they had baked goodies if you’re looking for something quicker. Prices were reasonable and this place was close to the hotel. Seating atmosphere was quite nice as well, so we were able to relax for a bit in the comfy chairs before heading back to the conference.

Prompt, friendly, and most of all accommodating service. Bagels were fresh and ready on time. Bought breakfast for the office for just over a dollar a person. Atmosphere in the café is inviting. Menu selection looked great so I’m tempted to pop back for a coffee and lunch.

Beans, Beans, the magical café. The more you eat, the more you will come back at lunch because their sammiches are so darn good. Need a break from Subway subs? Tired from sub-par quality that is Grandma Lee’s? Good Earth too expensive(HECKYES, IT’S BLOODYEXPENSIVE)? Well head on over to Beans. Beans is a place where they craft your sammich just the way you like it. You like your Tuna sammich with tomatoes and mustard? DONE. Like it with a pickle on the side? NOPROBLEM. These sammiches are made right in front of you and everyday there’s a different soup. Soups don’t taste like canned crack(Campbell’s). They’re a little on the bland side which reassures me that their made fresh. I honestly like the different selections of sammiches that you can buy. Although I always eat tuna(all time fave), I always like the fact I have something to fall back on. My only gripe is the bread sometimes toasted too brown. I like mine crispy, not«trip to Mexico tan». Recap: Fresh sammiches. Fresh Soup. Pickles. Alternative to processed food.

It may look like just a typical strip-mall type café, but Beans might surprise you. It’s the pizza bagels that do it. The place smells amazing, and all because of four types of pizza bagels baking in the back. The veggie ones are always gone when I get to the front of the long, lunchtime office worker line, but I keep going back hoping for the day that the veggie pizza bagel will finally be mine. Missing the pizza bagel is never really a disappointment because the veggie sandwiches, with or without cream cheese, are really good, piled high with very fresh and crisp lettuce, tomato, red onion, and cucumber. They usually put mine on a bagel to make up for not having any pizza bagels ready. Beans also makes a large selection of breakfast sandwiches, salads, and even have a catering menu, as well as serving most of the coffees you can find at Starbucks and Second Cup, including a special raspberry mocha with Callebaut chocolate shavings.
