How do I put this… The service was beyond slow. We stood in an empty store(upstairs in the Atmosphere section) while 3 people struggled to assist the one person in front of us with an exchange. At one point there were actually 6 sales associates standing at and around the two tills; Not one associate acknowledged us. I finally asked if any of them could assist us with our exchange on the second till to which one of them replied that we could go downstairs, but it would likely take longer. I assured him that it couldn’t possibly take longer than this as there was 5 of them standing here and nothing was getting done. We went downstairs to the Sport Check till and were helped writhing 3 minutes.

The atmosphere is such that one can get lost in this sizable outdoor apparel store. It’s so big I’m surprised it doesn’t have its own mountain inside to test the merchandise. The left side of the store is the men’s section and the right side is the lady’s section. And they have apparel for a plethora of activities such as mountain climbing, skiing/snowboarding, camping, kayaking, taking on Mantracker, etc. A lot of what it has to offer is quality stuff. And though it won’t offer you any relief for your bank account, there are times where stock goes on sale. Sweaters can go from 30−50% off at the beginning and end of the season. I bought one black zip up hoddie for $ 50. This isn’t necessarily that cheap, but it’s super comfy, warm and has quickly become a favourite of mine. Can’t wait for a winter clearance sale to get stuff for next year!

Wow, I wasn’t expecting this store to be so huge. Atmosphere is a great store for outdoor apparel gear(mostly apparel though). Since the store is so freakin’ big, there’s tons to choose from. Most of what they have to offer is by the likes of Columbia or The North Face. That being said, the prices might seem pretty high, but those brands are pricey to begin with, so I can’t hold it against Atmosphere. Columbia and NF winter jackets and outerwear hover around the $ 200 range because they’re really good quality. Either way, Atmosphere always has loads of stuff on sale.
