Bought sea bass there. It was ‘supposedly’ packaged today, and reduced 50% in price. Poked it prior to buying, it seemed okay. Got it home, made a sauce, put on veggies, fired up the oven, took the wrap off the fish. Whew, the smell was like being in a fish plant. No, worse. I was worried sea gulls were going to be crashing into my window any second… There was a thin slime on top, that hadn’t been visible through the cellophane. I washed it up, and put into the oven. When done, I took a bite prior to saucing it. It tasted like textureless fish ‘mush’. I tossed it. My partner did likewise. I really should have kept everything, and called the authorities.

I call this the Loblaws for Seniors, it’s the smallest Loblaws I have ever shopped at, and a lot of older folks work here and shop here. Fine when I am in the neighbourhood and just need a couple items but if I need to do a serious grocery shopping trip, I would never come here, the selection is too small.
