We have long-term, direct relationships with family farmers. We tell the story behind the food you eat — who grew it, how it was grown. We offer an alternative to factory farming — an economically and ecologically sustainable one.
* By supporting small family farmers in Ontario, we provide them with an urban market that gives them a fair price for their work.
* We bypass the huge factory food production system, thus reducing environmental damage to land and air.
* We provide traditional personal service to our customers.

History
Established in 1996.
We are «modern» urban Mennonites who, two decades ago, tired of the typical factory food available in most supermarkets, So in 1996, we began driving out to a cousin’s farm to bring back freshly butchered meat. Many of our friends, who had moved to Canada from Eastern Europe and Latin America, marvelled at how that meat tasted like «back home.»
Word began to spread, and soon we were making more and more trips for friends of friends — then distant contacts. So we expanded, creating a network of farm families within the Mennonite community and offering more products. In 2003, we established our permanent location at 350 Donlands Ave. And, as they say, the rest is history.
