What a horrible place. The rudest woman imaginable was «helping» the person ahead of me when I arrived, an elderly gentleman looking for a special watch battery, and rolled her eyes at me over his shoulder when he failed to understand her brash, abrupt responses to his inquiries. I was there to inquire about a problem I was having with a pair of diamond earrings my husband had purchased there — the screw back would not stay on. She was horribly rude to me as well, blamed me for not checking the earrings and tightening them often enough (despite my attempts to explain that they became loose immediately after tightening). Long story short, she insisted that I pay her «special price» of $ 34 for a new earring backing. She was nasty when I expressed my surprise at being asked to pay for a replacement of something which was obviously defective on a $ 1000 pair of earrings purchased in their store. When I got home I saw that the same backings are $ 11.50 a PAIR elsewhere. I will make sure my husband never buys me ANYTHING from there ever again. They are just horrid.

My elderly mother had a terrible customer service experience here that left her near tears. She came in with a large piece of silver jewelry that she wanted assessed for insurance purposes. The woman behind the counter looked at it with obvious disdain and said, «Why?» As if it wasn’t worth bothering with. The experience went downhill from there.
Note to the rude woman who works here: Just smile and say, «This is beautiful we’d be happy to have it assessed for you.» That’s what you’re paid to do.
My mother was very upset by her treatment here and I was disappointed to know that a local business can afford to be so cavalier with new customers or believes itself to be above a certain clientele. My parents have just moved to the neighbourhood and might have brought more business here but now they will never go back.
Basically if you’re not dripping with diamonds don’t bother with this place – they don’t want your business.
