Very tasty, very nice staff, very cute inside. One downside is that it’s a bit pricey(my partner and I showed up in our outfits from a day of hiking and were definitely underdressed) but each main dish comes with a whole other plate of side dishes, so you get plenty for your money. They were happy to swap out papadum for the naan, which comes with each meal, as a gluten free option. Also, the chai was lovely.

This is the best!!! The curry is great and the staff are very nice to everyone. Highly recommended. The sea food dishes are perfect. It is always a special treat to eat at the Royal Dar. It is hard to stay away from such a great place.

A great discovery in a very unassuming neighborhood in Duncan, BC. The Indian food is as authentic as I have discovered in bigger cities without actually going to India. However, having dined here with others who have been to India I am assured it is super authentic. If you have a chance to dine here in the warmer weather the outdoor deck is amazing. It is beautifully decorated with plants, flowers and nice lighting. The inside is equally as beautiful and I am sure will showcase well in the evening hours. The pricing is very reasonable. It can add up though because it is hard to refrain from ordering the appetizers and sides. Each time I have been here to dine the staff has been exceptional. They make you feel welcome and really know their menu. Trust me when I say Indian food can be complicated to explain. Richard is a pro! Please do yourself a favor and find the Royal Dar you will be so happy you did.
