Always sold out of half their menu. Stop serving breakfast whenever they feel like it.

I work in the area and I’ve been coming here for the last seven years. I’ve got no serious complaints. It’s your standard Timmy Ho’s. Not much different from the others in the Lower Mainland, but certainly not any worse. If you’re looking for all star personalized service, I suggest spending more money and going somewhere that isn’t Timmy’s. Dave J, there is no maybe about the first sentence in your review.

Oh man. The previous reviews are so bang on. The staff here sucks. I might be just as lame if I worked there but wow. Timmy’s has totally gone downhill anyways. It is total central kitchen garbage all the way form Ontario. Sad really. This Canadian institution has totally sold out and seems to continue to slide further every time I resolve to an emergency meal. Gross factory food.

I will sound racist and maybe I am. I’m a white trucker who works in this area. I often go for coffee here late in the night. Not busy and no line ups in either drive threw or at counter. When you walk in you will get dirty looks from the East Indian woman working. Don’t worry! they see you standing and waiting while they are re stocking paper that they wrap bagels in or making coffee or doing anything but addressing you. No «one second please» or «I am busy, be with you in a second». I think it’s their goal to make you wait so you will walk out. Tonight is the last time I drop my money here. This Is just one of my stories. I walk in and said hi to the 3 woman. I got in return the rolled eyes and they walk away from the counter. I wait 2 mins pass«felt like 10″. 1 woman in back, 1 woman folding paper, 1 woman making coffee for drive threw. AFTER2 min. I said HELLO! They just kept looking at me. When I asked why am I waiting? The girl making coffee, SHOOK the coffee cups at me while in a rude jester(Like „Look at me you freak I am busy“) the other one started laughing while they both turned to one another speaking their language. They must of called the girl from the back to come and help me. I’m pissed, and just as I am about to leave. The woman in the back came out. No smile! No Hi!, No „Welcome to Tim Hortons, can I help you?“ Just rude rude rude. She just looked at me and said nothing. When I thought ok, I guess this is my cue to order. so I just said my order. She took my money and walked away!!! Like WTF lol now it’s just funny. As I waited I seen they just put my coffee and my order of chilly in a bag on the counter and walked away. No „Thank you“, No „Here you go“, No » «. Nothing!!! They just walked away. Why I’m pissed? Well when I go in, sometimes there is a white guy working and I get«hellos» and«what can I get you» and«just a min sir» and«thank you have a good night». soooo why are the woman rude? Another time I was in line, me and my friend. Behind me was 2 east Indian man, and the service was so quick. I will never go back here again. Thank goodness for Unilocal love… it D

Okay, so it was my uncle’s fault to begin with, but what ever happened to «The customer is always right.»? There wasn’t anyone in the drive-through so my uncle pulled up to the window to order. They must’ve ignored us for five minutes, glancing down at us to see if we were still there every time they passed by the window. Finally, someone opened the window, «You can’t order at this window. You have to order at the menu.» Hello! How about a polite, «Welcome to Tim Horton’s, how can I help you? Oh, and by the way, please order at the menu next time.»? My uncle looked at her in disbelief. Then it got nasty. «Do you want me to drive back around in a circle and order at the menu?» She thought about it for a second and not-so-politely declined his offer, «I’ll take your order this time. NEXT time, order at the menu. We have policies.» After some more heated exchanges, she finally took our order: 1 large and 2 small Iced Cappuccino Glacés. It took her no more than a minute to ring up and fill our order. While the customer service was appalling for my American standards, I also docked stars for the coffee. The Glacé tasted like a Cappuccino Blast from Baskin Robbins but less«gourmet” – if you can consider Baskin Robbins gourmet. I’m positive I could’ve gotten the same quality if not better at 7 – 11. The price wasn’t bad, though: $ 1.89 for a small according to the YVR menu. I don’t understand this Canadian rave about Tim Horton’s. I’ve had it before and still haven’t found anything special with the coffee. My American taste buds will stick to McD’s and Starbucks, thank you.
