Whoa, busy Starbucks. I’ve been three times in two days, and twice there was nowhere to sit. Like, literally, nowhere, not even outside in the pouring rain. A lot of plugs in here for you laptop users(which is why I kept on coming back), solid WiFi, two stall bathrooms, clean place, generally cheerful staff who are kind enough to let this distracted writer stay a bit past closing so she could use the bathroom.

This store has been around for over twenty years. It’s one of the few that stays open for Christmas Day, and the staff have been fairly consistent during the last several years. There’s plenty of room for seating as the café is quite large in comparison to other Starbucks locations, although it’s difficult to find seating during the weekends as many regulars frequent the store in the early mornings and students storm the place to study in the afternoon and evenings. Baristas who work here really try to get to know you, and they have one lady who’s been working Monday to Friday opening shifts since April 2008. It’s crazy, she knows all of the regulars’ names and drink orders, and she’ll take the time to make that connection with any new faces that she sees. The mid-day staff are awesome and because the store is very community based, it’s great to see the interactions between the customers and staff. Evenings can be relaxed when there’s hockey night and the night staff usually do sampling to let people try new things.
