I guess aviation isn’t cheap. As a student pilot, I come here often for lunch. As if flight lessons aren’t cheap already, the food is pricey. I say they are upholding the hefty price tag tradition that comes with everything aviation. Sorry, I went off topic. Other than the pricey food on every item, they sure cook up some delicious food. Food takes less than 10 minutes from the kitchen to your table. Super friendly staff. I have never seen them without a smile. Their omelette selection is wide and scrumptious. Sandwiches and soup aren’t bad as well. I always leave satisfied. You can see the runways and planes taking off from every table. I wanted to give three stars but gave 4 instead because of the friendly staff and the runway view. Patio seating are available, not year round though.

Not bad, but expensive for what it is. We were with a large group, and the dishes seemed to come out in random order. I suspect the food was frozen«food service» ingredients, given the middle of nowhere location it’s understandable. Portions were good, on the large size. Pints are also proper pints which is nice to see. I recommend going on a clear day to watch the small planes and helicopters take off and land.

I give this place a thumbs up for being a stopover lunch spot when riding on the dyke. Serves breakfast basically all day, and has pretty good good food. I give it four stars for the fact that it’s in a great location, and provides tsawwassen and Ladner locals a different atmosphere to bike ride to. They serve beer so it’s a good place to sit and watch planes take off on the patio on a sunny Saturday or Sunday Service was pretty good. Food is diner-ish but tasted good. It’s tough to please everyone when you’re the only place to eat at in an airport

Cheap frozen burger patties and frozen french fries. A bacon cheddar burger is $ 11.75. $ 2.75 for a can of diet coke. Certainly over priced for pre prepared food you can buy at costco. Ambiance is nice and you can see the aircraft coming and going but this doesn’t make up for the food and it’s cost. Service was good and the staff were reasonably attentive. Airport wifi was easy to access and decently fast. I won’t go back unless I have too.

The restaurant is always exceptionally clean, breakfast is ok but just ok nothing special and there is plenty of room to improve the quality of the coffee served in this place, The owner/cook should get out of his kitchen once in a while and chat with regular customers so he can get some kind of a real feedback, credit card terminals are always out of order or not working. Saying all that the girls serving on tables are always great, polite and friendly. the quality of the coffee is so so, maybe they can switch to some higher end coffee like jjbean or Turks… the one used now tastes like a superstore coffee.

It basically a dinner in a small commuter airport. The dining area looks out on to the airport and into the terminal. I had a late Sunday lunch there as part of a bicycle ride in the Lander area. The dining area was a mix of private pilots and locals going out for lunch. Might be a good place to take kids that like watching small planes. The food and service was a-ok but nothing to rave about. The Restaurant does has two sets of bicycle racks to use while dining at there location

I have been here two times in the past month — first time the service was excellent — the food was ok — I ordered a burger which was good but the fries were cold. The atmosphere is wonderful — you can watch the planes take off and land — we sat outside and had a wonderful time. All in all — it was good enough for me to come back and try it again. We came back there again today — it was fathers day and it was busy — maybe a mistake to go on such a busy day but — most places know that certain days will be busy. They sat us quickly and they took our coffee order and food order. Then, we never saw them again — no coffee refills — no communicating to us about our order, they finally came about 1 hour later with our order — and a second cup of coffee! Not impressed— even if the kitchen is busy or back up, this is fine — just communicate with your clients(let us know that the kitchen is busy — sorry it will be here in 15 min or whatever). I don’t think this is too much to expect. I don’t think I will be returning there.

Named after an aircraft, Skyhawk Restaurant is situated inside Boundary Bay Airport. Since there’s only one place to eat inside the airport, Skyhawk is very popular with pilots and passengers before or after their flight. The restaurant serves Western food such as sandwiches, burgers, and steaks. If you’re into Chinese food, it’s also on the menu too. If you’re here on a warm sunny day, I recommend sitting outside on their patio. You’ll get an amazing view of Boundary Bay and you will see small aircrafts such as the Cessna Skyhawk take off and land on the runway. If you choose to sit inside, you’ll get a good view of Boundary Bay because the place is surrounded by large glass walls. The burger which I ordered was juicy, hearty and fulfilling and the fries were hot and crisp. Their milkshake was pretty good too. It tasted more authentic than blended strawberry ice cream — more like homemade with fresh ingredients. I wouldn’t drive from Vancouver to eat here, but if you’re at this airport, it’s a safe bet. Pilots depend on their food too, so you’ll know you’re in safe hands.
