Great fish & chips, served the old-fashioned way on paper The fish is good, and there are way more fries than you need. Next time, we’ll order fish for two, but one portion of fries — because that will be plenty. The fish & chips was comparable to some of the better fish & chips I’ve had in the UK and New Zealand — the best I’ve had in the Vancouver area.

If you hate your customers how can the food be any good? Ignorant rude screeching nutbar owners, avoid at all cost. One local I spoke to said they and many others boycott the place, the owners are refereed to as A%&hole senior and A&*hole jr. I ordered some fish and chips they started screaming that they were out of fish like it was our fault, we just left after the high pitch wails became ‘castrato’ high, bizarre, I was looking for the guy with the cameras to come out and tell me I’m on somekinda tv show then it might have been funny, but it wasn’t…

I don’t understand why the previous reviewers gave it 2 stars. It’s called Robb’s Fish restaurant, so why didn’t you order fish? I popped in for take out. I’ve driven by this place numerous times but never went in. I have to say I really enjoyed it! When you walk in, to the left there’s a little takeout counter and to the right is seating. The owner took my order. While he was a bit curt, he was still friendly. Surprisingly they have really decent prices. I got 1 pc cod and chips for $ 7.35. I waited about 6 minutes for my food, as promised. The owners wife came out in the mean time and I asked her what a scotch egg was(I’ll pick one up next time, it sounded yummy!). I was offered all sorts of condiments and there was no complaint when I asked for vinegar, tartar sauce and ketchup. It was nice not being charged extra for tartar sauce! When I got home I found my food was wrapped up in paper rather than styrofoam which I appreciated. I finally dig in and the chips were nice and fat while the cod wasn’t over battered and it was nice and tender. I’ll be back again!

The food is pretty decent, but the ambience is no frills.

We happened to be in Tsawwassen and it was lunch time. We decided to have lunch at Robb’s Fish Restaurant as we drove past and saw their menu. They offered a fairly low-priced breakfast menu(served until 1:30pm) and a lunch menu. When we entered, there was a take-out area on the left and main restaurant to the right. The place was very traditional, old-school, English style with jerseys and photos from England hung on the walls. This place is most likely family ran and knows most of the regulars in town. We ordered their lunch special($ 5.25) and breakfast cheese omelette($ 6+). The food took what seemed like forever to arrive and there were only 3 tables at the time. The lunch special had one piece of fish(cod I think) with a side of chips. Not too bad, fish was decent and fries were good. Not too much batter and light. The omelette was pretty funny though, it was 3-egg with cheese, nothing else, anyone could’ve made it. There were hashbrowns and 2 slices of toast on the side. The toast was probably made first and sat for awhile, so it was rock hard. The hash brown tasted like it should. Well, interesting home-cooked foods. The server was very nice, she’s probably the owner’s wife. There were other more English dishes on the menu and various types of beer to choose from. But if you’re looking for food in T-town, go elsewhere.
