I go to another Dairy Queen in Surrey because DQ in N Delta is dirty and the staff is surly. I wrote a letter of complaint to owner about cleanliness and staff and no response. It is not worth the health risk.

Ordered my usual oreo cheesecake blizzard but this time, I asked for an extra topping of kitkats(for 79 cents). My friend ordered some type of fudge/cookie dough blizzard and we also bought a box of ice cream sandwiches. The total was about $ 26 dollars. It took them about 8 – 10 minutes to finish our order and they didn’t even give us any spoons. However what I am most upset about is the fact the my oreo cheesecake blizzard with kitkat was basically an oreo blizzard with extra Oreos. There were about 3 chucks of cheesecake at the top and then the rest of the blizzard was an overwhelming amount of oreo crumbs. In assuming they tried to overcompensate for the lack of cheesecake but where the f is my kitkat? Also, if you’re out of cheesecake, the proper customer service thing to do is to let the customer know, don’t just shove extra Oreos in. And it also helps when you don’t charge extra for the kitkat add-in if you’re not going to add in the kitkats. So massively pissed.

I will be honest, I don’t do the DQ thing as often as a medium blizzard is 770 calories with 35g of fat and 23g of sugar. I only go with the guy I am dating, once a year, for our traditional pumpkin pie blizzard(split the calories). He surprised me after our Keg dinner and took me to the most old school DQ. The interior décor hasn’t been changed since the 70’s down to the flower tiles behind the til. It is the cleanest DQ that I’ve been to and the one with the most seats. There is a pay phone in the back which still has a dial tone. I was tempted to call and leave a message on my voice mail from an actual pay phone(haven’t used a pay phone in 16 years). I didn’t have a quarter on me. The service was decent. I asked for napkins before I left and the guy looked at me as if I ordered a 5 course meal in a basket. I love the blizzard but their cakes and cupcakes are extremely expensive which sucks. The blizzard itself was too soft for my liking, thankfully we ate it very fast. I’ve been to other DQ in which the ice cream was a little stiffer even after stirring. I hope that they never change the décor.

I have been visiting this Dairy Queen with my family for the past couple years. The place is usually dirty, the staff could seriously give a f*ck if you were there and they don’t hide their feelings. You have to ask for napkins. People… we are eating ICECREAM. Just put out a dispenser you can monitor on the counter by the register at least. Ordering ANYTHING other than a standard… and you are living dangerously. My wife’s favourite is a Blizzard, the Georgia Mud Fudge, peanuts instead of pecans. Three of the last four times they have missed the peanuts. My last time in… I ordered that and and a Skor + Peanut blizzard for myself. The girl at the register said, «Wow those are both complicated.» To which I responded, «Yeah… as complicated as making a peanut butter and jelly.» I HOPE she was kidding. So what is the biggest offense here over looking all of this? The fact that they serve Ice Cream SOUP instead of a blizzard. Remember how back in the day they would hand them to you upside down they were so thick? You can go to right now and see pictures of this. If this location tried to do that, their would be soupy sweet sadness all over the counter. Why do I keep going back? I guess i’m a sadist. ps… I’m on my way there right now.

Since the beginning of time in North Delta, DQ has been there. My mom used to make my dad go to this location to get her ice cream when she was pregnant with me. My dad subsequently took me and my sister there as small children for treats after running errands on Saturdays. Then it was a place for my baseball team to celebrate wins with Treat-za Pizzas. And now it’s 70s tacky colors and memories, and I which I still love it!
