I always visit Ray’s when back in Halifax! Has the best Lebanese Chicken Wraps in Canada. I now live in Vancouver and miss it like crazy.

His food was great at Scotia Square, and maybe is good here at lunch, but if you go for dinner, everything’s clearly been sitting around all day — dried out and cold. Not worth it.

Fantastic quality food at great prices. Donair plate is awesome. They are friendly and offer excellent healthy alternatives to burgers and fries.

I love Ray’s. It’s where I head for a treat on payday! Ray and his staff are all wonderful and remember your face(and order!). He’s a great guy, the food is fantastic, and the prices are reasonable. Ray is famous for his falafels. And man, they’re freaking good. I’m not usually a huge falafel fan but these are hard to resist. The shawarma wrap is also delicious — the perfect mix of chicken, veggies, sauce and two roasted potatoes. The shawarma plate is my favourite, though! Two types of rice, shredded cabbage, salad, shawarma chicken, roasted veggies, hummus and pita. It’s a LOT of food but it’s so tasty!

Very polite staff. Had a schwarma wrap. I cant stand this new trend(common at most donair shops now) of slicing the meat at 10am, sticking it in a bus pan, then serving it rather than slicing to order. Wasnt even busy. The potatoes were obviously cooked many moons ago.

Ray keeps knocking it out of the park. I dropped by for some take out, several hours of sitting in the fridge didnt diminish the quality of this excellent food.

Amazing food, slight increase in price since the wrongful eviction from Scotia Square but worth it. I drive across Dartmouth to get his Falafel wraps and Shawarma platters for lunch.

I came across this place as I was in the area, and I was familiar with this business from the newspaper. I went in, the place is large and clean, the man is friendly, he is the one from Scotia Square btw. All the food on display looked fresh. I looked at the menu, and nothing caught my eye. Turning to go I saw a veggie wrap, with eggplant, zucchini, cauliflower etc. That sounds really good, it is exactly what I like, so I order it. So I watch him make it. He splits a large pita, inserts two big falafel, mashes them, adds chopped red tomato, some pink pickled turnip, some nice green salad, some hummus, I forget what else. He wraps it up neatly and hands it to me. I say, hey where is the eggplant, the cauliflower, the zucchini? He says they are all finished, all gone, this is another veggie wrap. So I paid him for it, what else could I do? But it was not what I ordered! It tasted totally good, but I was totally confused by what had just happened. Like wanting to buy blue socks and getting handed brown socks instead, and being told they are the same thing… a real switcheroo. How can you run a restaurant like that?!
