We really enjoyed the food tonight. The staff was friendly. An excellent selection of Syrian food with some twists. The meat was cooked on a charcoal BBQ and it was delicious. The hummus and salad where also excellent and there was lots of it. This is a great local restaurant that deserves to be filled with people every night. It’s often open late.

I heard about this place from my sister and her husband. The place was really nice good Arabic music nice service. We got lentil soup and some kebbeh, babaganoug and falafel. It was great and fresh, loved it. Now to the main platter, we got paradise mixed platter(3 skewers) and it comes with your choices of fries or rice also comes with hummus and salads We got it with fries. It wasn’t like I expected, I was really disappointed with the BBQ skewers they have. However, there’s lots of things on their menu I wanna try

This place is about great middle eastern food. Not about too much garlic and too much sticky sauces. We did do takeout both times so have not had the pleasure of eating in. The food… Amazing! We had lamb chunks with rice, salad and hummus; chicken shawarma with rice salad, and hummus; babaganoush, hummus with meat and stuffed grape leaves. Previously, we also had their lentil soup and fattouche. We will be back — many times! I will post photos next time but the food got eaten before we thought about taking pics. Another great Dartmouth find! Keep it up Paradise!

I’ve eaten here many times and tried a good portion of the menu. It is all delicious and fresh! Definitely recommend to everyone! The Schwarmas are amazing!

Stopped here the other night for a schwarma fix and wasn’t overly impressed. Though the restaurant was open all the lights were off and for a moment I thought they were closed and almost left. The girl at the counter was really sweet and the service was good. The food was just ok all the veggies looked old and a little sad. They had turned the heat off of the schwarma so it was cold and I was a little concerned about meat that had just been left to sit out at room temperature for who knows how long. The garlic sauce was very watery and I suspect given the consistency that it had been watered down. On a positive note the tabouli salad was excellent but the portion was tiny about a quarter cup for 5 dollars. The total for my schwarma and salad was almost 17 dollars a little steep considering the portion size. I would reccomend Mezza over this spot.

Stopped for a late lunch on their second day. Very courteous and friendly staff and despite a few getting started kinks, overall the service was solid. I think it’s great that we finally have a Mediterranean food option close to downtown Dartmouth! While middle eastern food is very common all over Halifax, Dartmouth has been limited to Burnside and Cole Harbour. Perhaps the best part about Paradise is that they deliver for free with any order over $ 10(reasonable!) On this visit we had a three appetizer plate and a falafel pita. The falafel was great and nice and crispy. My only complaint about the pita is that it’s considerably smaller(skinnier) than other places I’ve been like Ray’s in Burnside. The appetizer plate was good but not great. A second round of pita was supplied for free and the dip sizes were plenty large. We had hummus with ground lamb, an eggplant dip and red pepper dip. All three were unique but at the same time somewhat bland in flavour. For example the hummus was salty but didn’t have enough acid(typically lemon) to give it a punchy flavour. I was a bit disappointed that they didn’t offer tap water(perhaps a shortage of glassware?) but bottled water is available. I’d like to see some Syrian beverage options, like perhaps tamr hendi, polo and/or mate. I would definitely order again as they’re still finding their groove, which may very well be coming across in the food prep as well.
