Who doesn’t love the movies? However this cinema needs great improvement for wait times. The AVX is awesome and worth the extra bucks in my opinion.
The entire Cineplex chain is crazy expensive for snacks… that’s what happens when they have a monopoly.

I love going to the movies. The staff here are friendly, it’s as clean as a movie theatre is going to get and it is close.

It’s a movie theater… You Pay huge prices for tickets and concessions. The seats are comfy, the sound quality is great. The bathrooms are average… And as another reviewer said, the garbage cans outside the theatres are usually overflowing and the floors are sometimes sticky. I believe that the staff could do a better job cleaning the floor and generally taking a little extra time cleaning the theatres in between showtimes…
But hey. I’m there to watch a movie… Thrill… Scare… Cry… Enjoy

A rather nice theatre although very prone to large crowds and sold out shows

This theatre has been my trip 3 desperate times. All times I have noticed a trend of filthy and never cleaned counters where the condiments and straws are. There is always food garbage everywhere on countertops, and I have noticed this both on the way in and out of this theatre.
For an experiment I left some garbage laid out at the back of some counter napkins (but obvious to anyone cleaning) and 2 hours later they were still there after my AFTERNOON movie!
Really work on your cleanliness since you are serving food. I stopped going there and now go to a different theatre.
I might go back and post some gross photos just to prove my point.
Sell Food = Clean up countertops

It’s pretty much the same as when it was Empire Theatres. Still comfy and an enjoyable movie experience. The arcade is also fun.

I have never really been a fan of movie theatres in general (aside from the Oxford, which is most grand), so my visits have generally been limited to discount nights. I was hoping that my movie-​going experiences would improve upon Cineplex taking over Empire Theatres, but I am sorry to report that very little has changed:
— With the exception of Tuesdays, ticket prices are still astronomical; concessions are no different.
— Having a Scene Card is a nice touch, but it does not make much difference in price when all is said and done; you are still going to get gouged.
— Customer service is still generally sub-​par.
— The theatre is still filthy — trash cans overflowing, floors absolutely peppered with popcorn and garbage, etc.
I think that I will continue to avoid movie theatres whenever possible — you will undoubtedly have a better experience waiting for movies to come out on Netflex and watching them in the comfort (and relative cleanliness) of your own home.
