Crystal Beach Motel

We had a lucky escape from here. We knew the pool wasn’t running but it looked disgusting. We had specifically requested a room but when we arrived were told that it had been given away. We checked the room being offered but it looked horrible. I’m sure it was clean but it’s so run down and there’s no attempt to make the room inviting. Not somewhere that you’d want to spend any time in. Luckily we found alternate accommodations at the Comfort Inn which were far more superior.

WORST EXPERIENCE
From the second I pulled in I wanted to leave but it was late and there was NOTHING near by.
1. I got there and no one is at the front desk, there was a sign to call but when i called no answer, so I decided to walk around the property and hoped when I came back so would an employee … So we walked around and there was the pool … Empty with no water in it … There was the advertised picnic area, broken benches & OLLLDDDD awful BBQS that were not useable … I was already so rattled
About 20 minutes passed so I went back to the reception desk & called again NOTHING.
I had driven 2 – 3 hours I couldn’t go anywhere else finally the lady answered the phone and came up … No apology no anything … NOTHING
She just gave me a peice of paper asking for my signature & license plate number … ONLY THING SHE SAID WAS SIGN HERE … License plate here then handed us the key and walked away
2. We get the the room and it’s FREEEEEEEZING with no thermostat. We then see a binder that has the rules. One of the rules «too hot come back in the winter, too cold come back in the summer «I was like okay .?
The rooms were clean but sooo old I felt like I was at my great grandmas house and the bed was the weirdest thing ever … so hard and the mattress was so thin … Ughh so bad The fridge was so loud and rumbling and it kept my boyfriend up all night ! the faucet was leaking all night as well
TAKE MY ADVICE AND DO NOT EVER STAY HERE, 80 $ and i wish I just slept in my car … I’ve never been to such an awful Hotel in my life
