Stephanie C.

Business Owner

Stephanie first became interested in the doula field when she was looking into becoming a midwife. Reading about doulas resonated with her. She felt she was a natural fit for the role of a doula, having a tendency to nurture and protect the people around her. Then she became pregnant with her own daughter, and decided on a home birth with a doula present. Through this experience she was able to see the extraordinary influence birth can have on a woman’s life, and specifically how much of an impact having continuous loving support through birth could have. She felt compelled to help women have the birth they desired, to teach them how to advocate for themselves, and to assist them in uncovering their inner strength.

Stephanie completed her DONA training in early 2013 and began attending births right away. Since then she worked with a variety of families with different needs. She is also a member of the Doula Services Association and a volunteer doula through their referral program.
