Went there once. The place was nearly empty but the service was soooooo slow it bordered on complete neglect. When the food arrived it was nothing special. I have had far better Greek salad and lamb for the price. Won’t be back.

Lots of Greek salad. I asked for a larger size for a few bucks more and they stuffed it full!

Visiting my family who live in the valley. My first time but not theirs. Upon arrival, the service was friendly but they could have used one extra server as it was extremely busy and tough for only two servers to manage the volume. We started with the saganagi cheese, spanakopita and kalamari. All were excellent in flavour but slightly on the cold side. Likely a timing issue as the spanakopita was hot. For our mains we had the lamb souvlaki and slow roasted lamb entrees. All great in flavour but the rice on each plate was cold. That was ok as we did not have room in our stomach to eat the rice anyway! Overall great meal. I would recommend making a reservation and go early or later as they get busy!

Some friends recommended this restaurant to us, and we are very glad they did. We ordered the traditional Greek salad, then stuffed ourselves on appetizers. They use a meat grinder to grate the Feta cheese that is lavished on top of the salad. In most Greek salads, you get chunks of Feta. The meat grinder chops the Feta into rice-sized pellets, which absorb the olive oil-based dressing. It was an unexpected combination, and very tasty. The«Assorted Mezithes» is the appetizer sampler. We ordered that, plus the Saganaki(broiled Kefalotiri cheese) and that was plenty for the three of us. Of these, the Calamari and the Saganaki were the favorites — but it was close!(be sure to try spreading a bit of Saganaki on the bread!) Normally, I don’t care for calamari — so I was surprised when I found myself going back for a second helping! To finish, we had the Greek coffee, and baklava. The next time we are in Courtenay, we’ll definitely be going back!

I had hoped for a lot more. Ordered take out and it was just okay. The Greek salad was very good, the Calamari was ok and the tzatziki was very bland. Had the Chicken Souvlaki and it too was just ok. Perhaps dining in is a better experience, but I am reluctant to try again.

First time going to a Greek restaurant outside of Greece and my husband recommended here as he had got carry out before. So glad we chose here for dinner as it was great. The best giros and the moussaka was delicious. Service was spot on, friendly prompt and casual. We opted for the mezze of dips with bread to start and it was devine, filled us up actually and would be enough on it’s own with a cpl of glasses of wine or beer. Can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the menu.

Calamari diner was Amazing. From the homemade tzatziki sauce, perfectly grilled vegetables and mouth watering Greek salad. This is one of my favorite dishes to order. My wife had the Greek ribs, the portion size is huge, and once again everything was cooked to perfection. Service was A++, very friendly waiter that gave exceptional service. If you like Greek food, this place will not disappoint. One of Courtenay’s gems in the city. Will be back again and again. OPA!
