JHOOPS began in 2008 with a vision of creating a safe, fun and exciting program for kids of all ages in order to excel both as part of a team and as an individual. With the help of our experienced coaching staff, JHOOPS trains hundreds of students throughout Montréal on a weekly basis.

Kevin F.

Business Owner

Kevin Fuks was an all star basketball player at Maimonides High School. He was also captain of his community AA Dawson Championship team in 2004-05.He played in Montréal, Boston and New Jersey in the JCC Maccabi games representing Montréal back in 2001, 2002 and 2003. He was chosen to represent Canada on the Canadian basketball team that won bronze in the Maccabiah Olympic games. He then went to Vanier College where he played for the AA Vanier Cheetahs. There he received most improved player award and ranked 3^rd overall in Quebec. At the age of 16, Kevin began coaching his high schools bantam team. Since then he has coached basketball at the elementary and high school levels for over a decade now. In 2012 – 13 Kevin led the Hebrew Academy Juvy Boy’s Basketball team to 2 championships (The Oren Grunbaum Tournament & the GMAA Div.3). In 2008 he used his experience to start a basketball program that is not only fun, safe and exciting but that is also a program that the city can be proud of.
