We embrace the newest emerging technologies, such as the optomap digital retinal exam, to provide quality eye health examinations to our patients. We constantly strive to find innovative ways to improve our service. Seeing clearly begins with healthy eyes! Eye health is important even in those who have 20⁄20 vision. Numerous eye diseases do not have any symptoms and some, like glaucoma, can lead to partial vision loss, or even blindness, if left untreated.
Recommended Eye Health Examination by CAO
Infants and toddlers (birth to 24 months) — By age 6 months
Preschool (2 to 5 years) — At age 3, and prior to entering elementary school
School age (6 to 19 years) — Annually
Adult (20 to 64 years) — Every one to two years
Older adult (65 years and older) — Annually
Remember, children 18 and under are fully covered by their care card!

Dr. Christine Wang graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Biochemistry major. She then completed her Doctor of Optometry degree from Ohio State University in 2005 with Magna Cum Laude.
Dr. Monisha Lal graduated from Pacific University College of Optometry in Portland Oregon in 2010. During her rotating internships Monisha specialized in detection of ocular disease, treatment of ocular infection and foreign body removal.
Dr. Karen Wong pursued a Bachelor of Science at McGill University as a recipient of the prestigious R.E. Powell Scholarship. After several years at McGill University, she completed her Doctor of Optometry degree with Honours at the University of Waterloo, the only English speaking Optometry School in Canada.
Dr. Harbir Sian completed his undergraduate studies in Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University. Dr. Sian then went on to receive his Doctor of Optometry degree in 2010.
