During the course of my 15+ year career, I have had the pleasure to be involved with various industries including start-​ups, print /​sign shops, design studios & consulting. This allowed me to work with business each in various stages of growth, witnessing what works and doesn’t.

I started Pat Designer Ltd. to help grow your business regardless of what stage it’s at.

In 1997 I entered the Art Institute school of Vancouver’s digital artist master’s program. This encompassed digital illustration, photo manipulation, 3D modeling, art history, cinematography, & classical animation.

As time went on I found myself interested in commercial graphic design more than the programs primary focus; the gaming and film industry. This new interest fostered a new goal: be a commercial designer. To achieve this goal I knew I needed some hands-​on experience in the industry. A few years later my first opportunity in the industry was to manage a marketing & promotional business. Needless to say, I jumped right in without testing the water.

I was exposed to a large and overwhelming amount of hard lessons during this time, but was able to make a name for myself and the start-​up department I was put in charge of. We ended up turning quite a profit. The only problem… I was managing more and designing less.
