Paradigm Plumbing Heating & Gas

I had an issue with my bathroom sink leaking and as I often do, checked Homestars to try and find a well reviewed plumber to assist me. I saw that Jon had many good reviews so I called him up and he agreed to come take a look later that day. Jon was punctual and told us that it would either be a $ 150 job or $ 300, depending on how it looks when he came back.
He came back and attempted to fix the problem, but the next day I noticed it was still leaking quite a bit. I Called him up and he agreed to come back in few days later to take a look again. This time he brought his apprentice and they needed to cut into our wall to get at the problem area. Unfortunately they didn’t turn off the water main and ended up cutting into the water line, partially flooding my basement below. Luckily I was home at the time and was able to shut off the water and get towels/​buckets down so it wouldn’t ruin the new flooring and subfloor we had installed just a few weeks before.
We turned off the water limiting the damage and had to cut some drywall out of our ceiling to drain the excess water now stuck between floors. Jon told me it should dry out fine on it’s own and that he was going on vacation the next day, but his apprentice would be back the following week to fix the drywall. He also said he wouldn’t charge me for the work that day… I emphasized that I needed this repaired asap as we had people moving shortly after. At this point I wasn’t angry or disappointed as these things happen, but I never did hear back from his apprentice the following week or the week after.
I ended up leaving a voicemail with Jon, which he has choose not to respond to. So I definitely would not recommend this company. I ended up just having to bite the bullet and fix the damages myself and be thankful that no additional damage was caused

I called him for an issue with a toilet after calling a few plumbers. I read his reviews on Homestars. I am glad I used this site! He came from Vancouver to Surrey just to do this job. Not everyone from Coquitlam services Surrey. It’s rare, and also the ones in Surrey that advertise a lot are not that great.
He ended up fixing two toilets with some parts. He also checked a third toilet and provided me additional details on it needing a future replacement, maybe a year or so down the road. He was so gracious, trustworthy and super proper!!! I would recommend him for anyone else that wishes to book him for plumbing services. I will be booking him in future.
