Some time between September and October 2015 my husband, our 20 month old and I went to My Greek Taverna for lunch. The only reason we went was because we had some gift vouchers. What a horrible experience. We were seated quite quickly and that was wonderful but we were seated in the corner away from everyone. It took forever for anyone to come take our order. I could of understood if they were busy but they weren’t. 4 young ladies walked by and not one came to ask if we needed anything or if they could take our order. Finally we ordered and the food was just awful. I love Greek food. It’s my favorite thing in the world but that afternoon it was ruined for me.

Service gone to shit. Food was salty. Weekday dinner for two. Seated shortly after arriving and then left alone for 10mins. Then everything went down the shitter. Completely ignored by our waitress Ivanika, and when we flagged her down she ROLLED her eyes as if it was a pain in her ass to do her job. No water, no greeting, nothing. Had to ask another server for plates and water, which were visibly dirty with food scraps. Food was hot but the rice was super salty. Was thirsty all night afterwards. The worst part is that we both felt the poor service was discrimination based. Of the other tables that got excellent service, the customers were not Asian. Maybe it’s a coincidence, or maybe Ivanika was having a bad night, but to treat your customers on different levels is completely unacceptable. Shame on you, My Greek. Shame on you.

This place is horrible. From the décor in the restaurant to the wait staff. They serve really low class wine and the roast lamb is definitely not that special. Wait staff take forever to serve you and they basically just hire cheap high school labour. To top it off when we finished our meal we asked the waitress to pack up our leftovers. She then asked us if I should bring boxes or do you want me to pack it up? What kind of professional restaurant asks their customers to pack up their own meals? Does she really expect a tip for doing nothing? This is a little cheap restaurant trying to act professional. Stay away from this place.

Food is great for that price. Most waitresses are rude abd no service at all but expect tips at the end of the meal. Will not for retutn.

Woke up without the raging diarrhea, but now I am afraid to check the Fraser Health Report for this establishment, which I should have done PRIOR to going back to this restaurant. Damn you power outtage!!! Ordered the lamb souvlaki and spanakopita dinner. The food has some major issues: The Greek Salad and Tzatziki had 4 instances of sand or grit in it! It was gross to have to spit out your food and frankly I have not had to do this(except for the odd fresh clam dish or two in the past 10 years). Also the spanakopita was fried in oil that tasted rancid. The greek salad needed a lot more seasoning and olive oil. Even the feta cheese, lacked flavour! The lamb was fairly decent, with good char and flavour. Bit of it were chewy, but overall was. . ahem. . edible. The ambiance was odd: Restaurant is located on a tiered level where the front is higher than the back. From the back, where the parking lot is located, you need to climb stairs and enter from kitchen/washroom area. The interior is very 70’s and dated — you know with paper place mats showing off the best of Greece! The service was lacklustre: Our server appeared Indifferent and rushed. Water was refilled once but I would not call the service friendly or attentive. The server offered to take the spanakopita dinner off our bill. Will not be returning!

My hubby first time to spend some time to search a place for dinner, it’s good start and try! However, he didn’t use Unilocal… He found and picked Greek restaurant for dinner. So, we drove all the way to Coquitlam for Greek. When we arrived, we found the restaurant quite crowded and line up outside. I thought it’s should be good restaurant otherwise, they will be not that busy on weekday. I ordered Chicken Skaras & Prawns, the chicken breast was juicy and tender and tiger prawns were great! However, the dish tasted too salty to me. My hubby had greek style ribs, it was tasty but too salty. The server was arrogant, I had to smile and pretended that everything was good. After we finished, I would say may be there are not many good restaurants in Coqulitalm and they can survive till now.

One of the best Greek restaurants near me. Saganaki is delicious!

Very busy Greek restaurant. It’s not too far from home which is nice. The portions are a great size for their price. The décor is wonderful — the white and blue makes you feel like you are on one of the Greek Islands. I don’t come here often, and have only been here a handful of times, but I’ve enjoyed it each time I’ve visited. Service is proficient. Food is delightful. Stop by if you’re in the area; if you like Greek food, you’ll have a wonderful experience.

It dose not look anything special from the outside. But once we got inside it was a whole new ball game. The waitresses were all cool, hip, and hot. The place was so lively and happening. The food was delicious. I totally recommend going there if you are in the area.

Despite the lineups and unfriendly servers, the food at this placing is amazing, and its worth it to out up with those two mentioning. I personally love it Prawn & Scallop souvlaki, the ingredients are fresh and they were perfectly grilled, just enough to maintain the great texture and flavor. The same thing goes with its Lamb Shoulder, its juicer than most Greek restaurant and consist a strong taste to it. Will definitely go back again in the near future.

Best Greek food in the lower mainland. Authentic and priced amazingly well. I recommend the rack of lamb, although more pricey, the flavours are amazing. Best calamari(I can never find a calamari to rival the one from My Greek) and best tzatziki.

I have not been here over a year and I thought it was the best greek eatery in the Tri-City area, especially for lamb shoulder roast. Thus, I recommende this place to host a birthday party for 10 people, and I was so embarrased. The food in general was so salty that I had to sip some water for every bite of food — calamari, salty, pan seared halbut, salty, rack of lamb, salty. Everyone complained about how salty the food was. Even the rice was salty. And the seasoning was so uneven — some portion was so salty and other portion was not ok. The chicken souvelaki was ok but the beef was so dry that it was almost a jerky. The roasted lamb shoulder was their saving grace and it was not salty — still it was double the portion of other places and was NOT salty. The server was also friendly. Unless you are going for roasted lamb shoulder, I would not recommend this place.

Great place for authentic Greek food. I’ve been looking for amazing tsatsiki and this place has it! We had it with some light and fluffy warm pitas. The calamari is nicely seasoned and very crispy. The chicken and beef souvlaki was nicely grilled and still very moist and lemony. For dessert, I took home the ek mek which was light, fluffy and not too sweet. A perfect ending to a great meal.

My friend and I ordered food from My Greek restaurant april 24 friday night at 10 pm. Ordered roast lamb and calamare dinner they had my order swapped with my friend’s order. I got the bag that exactly says calamare but inside is lamb and i dont eat lamb and my friend is allergic to calamare. Was late night and i didnt find out till i get home to surrey, i called back few times but the phone is busy busy was so frustrated. I ended up throwing it away. The next monday i called in to let them know and the server was not very helpful. All she said was that i should have call back right away and i said i did but the phone was busy. She said there was nothing she could do. I said this is going be a bad review and she told me im sorry but it wont be me it will be the owner. I will never go back to this place and i will tell every all my friends to never go back to this place.

Most amazing greek cuisine ever had! Keep coming back here for the roast lamb and chicken skaras. And the special birthday cake is complimentary and tastes delicious! Would’t recommend to try the kalamari. Chicken souvlaki is also good, but i found the chicken skaras juicier and softer than souvlaki. Chicken and prawn skaras is equay good and huge portions. Impossible to finish for 1! And i like the little fennel flavoured toffees they give at the end.

I visited this restaurant based on the star rating and number of reviews. You will definitely get bang for your buck here, but in comparison to other Greek restaurants, this place is not much different. I expected more since the reviews were so great and all the awards this place received. This place does have good food and you will most likely leave with left overs, but it was not my personal favourite Greek resty.

Feb 14 5:30pm and its packed! Couples and family’s waiting, all tables are full and servers are buzzing in an efficient manner. We were seated within 15 mins with no reservations. We ordered right away: Roast Lamb dinner & Moussaka dinner. Good came out soon after. We started eating right away. The lamb dinner was on point! As always. Theses Greek potatoes are really good — cooked tender soft all the way through and so flavourful! The Moussaka was disappointing though… It looked the portion was half of what it should be we’d only had one bite of it. It really was small. Don’t know if that’s normal or an error. Anyway, it was super busy and we were super hungry. Eat, paid, left. We’d be back.

I have been here many times over last few years. Tried quite a few Greek restaurant in Vancouver area including that well know one in downtown. I have to say this is still my favourite Greek restaurant. Portion is big. Souvlaki, roast lamp and calamari are extremely well. Give this place a try. You will be happy that you have come here.

BESTLAMBEVER! We come here regularly and their roast lamb never disappoints… tried multiple Greek restaurants and although we’ve had great lamb, none have compared to the juiciness and tenderness of the lamb here. Rice, salad, potato, are always on point! Free pita bread and tzatziki sauce? Umm amazing! OPA!!!

Had I ordered any of the other dishes on the menu, this review would have four stars. Seriously, the lamb shoulder they serve is absolutely amazing: mostly boneless, generous in size, tender and well-flavoured. But no, I got the chicken santorini, which was very disappointing. 75% of the dish is just veggies, and they’re nothing special either. At $ 17, that’s not good enough. But the lamb shoulder is. Go get that. By the way, the pita and tzatziki are fantastic(and served with every entrée). Gorge your heart out on them because they’re totally worth it.
