Established in 2009.
BrightStart is a community based facility, with many staff living in the neighbourhood. The philosophy, programming and curriculum of BrightStart were developed locally, by the two directors, based on research into the needs and demands of local families. We are not associated with any daycare franchises or big box operators.
Meet the Business Owner
Carol W.
Business Owner
Carol and Evelyn, the other co-owner and director, are two Port Coquitlam moms, who met each other over 15 years ago while their daughters were in kindergarten. Their five children are grown up now, and observing the demand for quality, professional childcare, they decided to give back to their community by drawing on their experience to open a full-service daycare. Both are educated in early childhood with additional backgrounds in childcare management, curriculum planning, ECE instruction and business management.
