Complementing the science of veterinary medicine and surgery, the focus of my 23 years in veterinary medicine also lies in the emotional well-​being of our pets.

Understanding and educating others on how we can best interact with our pets and make their life experiences less fearful is a focal point of my practice. We hold weekly Puppy Kindergarten classes in our Comox clinic, where pets and their owners can interact and learn how to socialize in a healthy, positive manner. During these classes, our staff also takes the opportunity to inform pet owners on kind ways they can understand their pets and influence their behaviour in a meaningful manner. Reducing pet anxiety creates a more enjoyable life for both the pets and their owner and helps prevent future behavioural problems.
