This Thanksgiving Monday I found myself driving along Horseshoe Valley Rd(also known as #22), because I was told the fall colours were incredible. It was the right advice — because not only were the trees some of the best I’ve ever seen, I got wicked pie too! ;) See, I was headed for dinner to an aunt and uncle’s and was coming empty handed… So I was thrilled to find this neat little farm shop actually open on the holiday. The best part was that they had home prepared, frozen, ready-to-bake pies available. They had apple cranberry and pumpkin. I ended up choosing the apple cranberry and it was so good that if it was on my way, I’d go back for pumpkin ;) For being homemade and massive — $ 12 was very reasonable. I highly recommend them! As a side — they had lots of other lovely produce available… but the colours called, so I didn’t browse too much after wrangling the pie.
