We offer a large variety of cheeses and other local and imported delicacies. We have many popular products from Quebec, such as cheese curds, maple products, «fondue parmesan», «cretons» etc., as well as classic European products such as Mimolette, Raclette, Delice de Bourgogne, etc.
History
Established in 2012.
Our shop in Cochrane might not be very old, but our family has been making cheeses for already more than 3 generations in Quebec. My grandfather learned the art of cheese making when he was younger, and my 3 uncles are now in charge of the Bergeron cheese factory in Quebec, which was funded in 1990. My family specialize in gouda, with about 15 different products ranging from fresh cheese curds, to goat milk gouda, to an aged strong gouda. My mother decided to open a cheese shop in Cochrane a few years ago. Since then, we have attracted a wide variety of exited and curious customers, including many nostalgic French Canadians who hadn’t seen certain of these products in years of living in Western Canada, many customers looking for inspiration, platters and gift ideas, and many tourists looking to sample something new and open for suggestions.

Chantal Bergeron is the daughter of Raymond Bergeron, founder of the company and creator of many of these wonderful cheese recipes. If her children Stephanie and Kael aren’t at the store, you will find our wonderful employee Jacke who has also been with us since day 1 !
