History
Established in 2004.
The previous owner Wayne Snerle built the property in the mid 60s, later married, and his wife and him started the Bed & Breakfast in 2004. Wayne and Betty Snerle sold it to us, Jay & Jess, in July 2010, and we have been running it since. It caters mainly to fishermen from all over the world, especially from Denmark and the UK. Our B&B has ties to Fraser River fishing guides and therefore can accommodate fishing holidays for our overseas guests.
Meet the Business Owner
Jessica B.
Business Owner
My hubby Jay and I, Jessica, took over Riverbend Guest House Bed and Breakfast in Chilliwack BC Canada, in July 2010. Neither of us had ever seeked out running a B&B, but the opportunity presented itself and we were interested. Since taking over we have also had a son. We enjoy meeting guests from all over the world and have made many friends. I love travelling and it’s a way of having the world come to me, as I learn so much from our guests about their home countries. We aim to make guests feel very welcomed and at home. We’ve established ties to fishing guides on the Fraser River as well as guides on the Vedder River, which appeals to many people looking for guided fishing adventures on their fishing holiday. Our B&B caters mainly to fishermen, and that was the appeal for my hubby and I, as both of us love the outdoors, fishing, skeet shooting and the wilderness in general. We feel blessed to have a piece of this beautiful part of the world and to be able to share it with our guests.
