!!!CLEANWARMTHSERVICES!! OUTRIGHTLIED!!! READON! The quote was $ 100 — $ 200 and the bill was $ 700BASEDON A LIE! After calling and getting very rude treatment I felt it was a good idea to post this… I will simply post the email so you can judge these curmudgeons for yourselves… My 1st email Hello Sue/Sean, I am writing to begin a record my business with your company. I approached you to get a quote to install my pellet stove. The verbal quote you provided was $ 100 — $ 200. I consulted with you for your professional opinion on where to place the stove and how it would best work, which took about 5 minutes. If the stove was to be placed at the front of the house I wanted an up pipe that cleared the side of the house. If the stove was going to the side of the house it was to come out the wall and stop. I thought that having the pipe that came with the stove I purchased would be sufficient for the installation. I agreed to pay for what was required to do the job. I was not expecting that I was going to have parts that were not required. I called you ten minutes after you finished the install the same day, to have it removed. Telling me «it is what it is» or «you’re too busy» or «you can make payments» is not sitting well with me. I would prefer to be a new, happy, loyal pellet customer of CWS but I am not feeling that your choice of business practise is conducive to a positive relationship or publicity. Please contact me to work out an amicable solution in a reasonable time frame. If you would like me to have someone remove the parts I don’t require I can return them to your shop or contact me to make arrangement to come by. It is not too late to salvage me as a customer if that is what you choose to do. Regards, XXXX The response: XXXX, Keep the pipe, pay what you feel is right and please purchase pellets, etc elsewhere. Shaun & Susan Farrell Just so everyone is aware… Most stoves they sell can be purchased directly for the manufacturer at a great reduction. There are pleanty of small local, certified, technicians that will treat you better than this and good pellets can be found almost everywhere if you shop around. UPDATE: I called the maker of the pellet stove I bought and talked to their technical expert who came out to my house to fix one of my fans. It turn out these people at CLEANWARMTHSERVICES!! OUTRIGHTLIED!!! to me about the exhaust pipe I already had being no longer up to code!!! The pipe I bought with my stove was perfectly fine to install and they sold me new stuff based on this LIE! I guess that’s one way to do business… ONCE!
