Censai Roll sushi is as fresh as Nobu, much better quality than Fujiya and the prices beat the competition! Even the vegetarian options are clean, fresh, and delightful. The portions are large and all of their salmon is wild Sockeye salmon as opposed to farm-raised. Love this place.

Really wanted to like this place… It was very busy when we went in to order, which is a good thing for them. It seemed disorderly with tables not cleared right by the place you order and many people just waiting everywhere. Person taking the order was distracted, trying to do too much, giving incorrect orders to people. Although we were told the food would be ready in 30 minutes, it actually took an hour to get the order. Too slow! When we finally got home to eat we discovered that the sushi rice they had used wasn’t cooked. It was crunchy and not acceptable. The sushi was not rolled well either. So disappointing… Perhaps it was a really off night for some reason. Sadly won’t be returning any time soon. Needs improvement!

First time at this nice little Japanese bistro in Saanichton. Had tuna sashimi, beef udon, California rolls, miso soup. All very good. Nice to have such a place in Central Saanich. We’ll be back!

Excellent sushi. We had a nice variety — freshly made. Nice creative work. Fish was extremely fresh. Five happy folk in Dean Park after that meal!

We tried 4 different bentos and everyone thought they were terrific. Cannot wait for the udon to make it on to the menu… we will be back soon to try more dishes.
