56⁄100 Mmmm… bacon. While on a trip to the Island this was a place recommended to stop at. We pulled in right around lunch time and I decided to order the club with a ceasar, my companion the beef dip. The Cesar dressing was delicious, it is a hit and miss for mew sometimes. The sandwich… ahhhhh, bacon, nice, tasty, crispy bacon. The portion was quite large, i should have just asked for two slices of bread. But, I ate it all it was just too good. Our server seemed somewhat distracted, although it was a team environment each server probably came by at least once to tend to us. Real Island pub atmosphere with interesting curved tinted windows.

Royal Coachman Neighbourhood Pub If you end up in Campbell River for any reason and like a good(not great but good) selection of beer this is your place. This pub has that really old school pub feel(on purpose) that I find fairly charming. There is also a great patio out back that will have you bathed in sun around lunch time. The food here is quite good with a large menu full of choices and a small pull out menu with the specials of the day. Think regular tasty pub fair for the menu selections. Being in a smaller town quite a ways up Vancouver Island most craft brewers do not get their beer to Campbell River. It is really hard to get craft beer in town and for the most part you have to drive an hour+ just to get the beer you are looking for. This is one of the nice things about this bar as they do carry some craft beer on tap for the beer geeks like me who live there(and I know of at least on huge beer geek who lives there). So if you find yourself in Campbell River do yourself a favor and stop in for a pint and a bite after you enjoy the beautiful area that is Campbell River. #30DaysOfYelp 27⁄30
