Consistently not impressed, the food and the service isn’t the greatest. When we have called for takeout, one time they will tell you that they deliver and the next time you call, they don’t. Food is mediocre and doesn’t appear to be fresh, one place that we will not be returning to.

Not impressed, I’ve been a frequent customer to this establishment and so it is difficult for me to give this place a bad review. That said, the vermicelli platter I ordered had less meat than the bowls(that were $ 3 less) my company ordered. When I confronted the management her response was that they decided to give the customer more vegetables with the platter than in the bowl. I paid more money for more lettuce. The pork in my girlfriends vermicelli bowl was, without exaggeration, 90 percent fat content. I am sad to say I will not be returning to Ben Thanh.

What a waste of money! I got the appetizer platter and all of it looked like it was scraped off the floor and just thrown on a plate. The mango salad was not mango salad it was iceberg letter with nuts on top. When tried to complain and have my food replaced the waitress rolled her eyes at me and walked away. Worst service and worst food. At this location. I won’t ever be recommending this Cambridge location or ever setting foot in there again. This is the second time I have been completely dissatisfied with this location, I gave it a second shot and now really wish I hadn’t. Disgusting.

I guess this place is kind of the best in a small town… The seats were quite comfortable for a Vietnamese food place. :D the tea tasted kind of funny, I tasted somewhat salty but maybe it was some kind of special mixed? We ordered a large mango salad and it tasted soso with only few mango and a lot of cheap lettuce at the bottom. The phở noodle soups were without basil because they were out of stock. The basils could make the noodle soups tasted so much better. Also, a small plate of beansprouts were shared by 3 soups. The nuts in the dishes were with bad oil smell/taste, maybe they stored for too long or it was a bad batch of nuts…

This is fourth time coming here and we can’t get enough of the amazing vermicelli bowls. We enjoyed the food, service and as appetizers as had some items from the all-day dim sum. I have never been disappointed with the foods and the price was amazing for what we ate and the quality of our meal. I honestly would recommend this place.

Mediocre food. The meatballs in my phở soup tasted sour. Ew. Not exactly unexpected considering this is Cambridge but still. The atmosphere is kind of nice at least and the service is decent.

Better than average place for Thai food. They use good quality ingredients and with a large menu you can have a new experience every visit. As others have stated the service isn’t that friendly and is business like and the dishes come in what ever order the cook decides, not sure why they put them on the menu as appetizers when they come in the middle of the meal… but they are so good. Always an enjoyable experience.

Food is good but service is really really bad. Good luck getting a drink if you don’t order one immediately, same goes for a refill. So then we decided to start only getting takeout, and after driving the wrong food home all the way across town so many times, we called and complained. They did not handle the situation well and tried to blame us. Don’t bother with this place if you expect any level of service

This location is ‘not bad’. I find the Waterloo location better. The food is moderately good and I find a bit greasy. My husband on the other hand really likes this location. He loves the spicy deep fried shrimp and the satay beef.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in town. I am a huge fan of Thai food! Sometimes they can get your orders a little confused and the service has been slow at times. However, I frequent this place and the food is always delicious

Ok, I’m in Cambridge on business and today it was my bosses day to pick the lunch venue… So various colleagues at the office lunch here, expected good things… + The restaurant was able to seat our party of 6 rather quickly although the restaurant was full. + Haven’t decided if the extensive menu is a + or a -, hence I will place in both categories. + Free Parking? I’m really trying to be nice here… –I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai. Wow, the worst I’ve ever eaten. For us Americans that grew up on Chef Boyardee, imagine that red sauce taste. This is it. It was like cheap ketchup on tons of pasta. — The menu numbering system is quite… ordinary in my opinion. Cheapens the venue. — The service is subpar. Waitress brought us food and check, no chit chat no regard for our appreciation of our meal… purely business. For those who follow me, you know I don’t especially like leaving mediocre reviews, however this meal in particular was bad. My colleagues seems to like not love the establishment. I give it a 2 star since my colleagues didn’t loathe it as I did, therefore give it a try, stay away from the Chicken Pad Thai… xoxo, ja

Been here many times for lunch with colleagues. Foods great and decent service. It can get very busy during lunch time. Tried many dishes and all of them are good.

This is my favourite restaurant in Cambridge. My family used to go to the tiny little start-up in Kitchener, but once this one opened, we started going here. We’re huge fans of the seafood pad thai, though sometimes it’s overly spicy and there’s no way to really tell until it comes out. I love that it comes with shrimp, calamari and fish slices. Adding chunks of fresh fish or scallops would make it perfect! Other great hidden gems are the Pepper Pork Pot with Tofu(421), the vegetarian rolls(601) and the Cha Cha Cocktail. I also love the Chili Salt Calamari and the Mango Salad(with beef, chicken or shrimp). The only thing they need to work on is timing the food. We often get drinks at the end of the meal, rice halfway through the meal, main dishes coming out at separate times, etc., which just makes the dining experience feel like you’re flying by the seat of your pants. It’s hard to enjoy when your food is cold because you were being polite by waiting for your guests’ food to arrive before digging in.

Really great food with tons of flavour and large portions! The menu has a lot to offer and there are many substitute vegetarian dishes at the back. This is one of my favourite restaurants as there is an endless number of different dishes to try and the food here is extremely tasty. Prices are decent and staff are friendly, I love coming here for dinner. The place is always busy on the weekends because the food is so good so don’t be surprised if you get put on the wait list. I recommend making a reservation, just to be safe. The interior is very neat and modern, although on busy nights(Fri. and Sat.) it gets noisy, which is pretty normal though, for a casual dining place. Favorite dishes are the Cantonese Chow Mein, phở 101, and the deep fried calamari with wasabi dip. Yummy~

Went here for lunch on several Sundays. The food is pretty good, but the tea tastes like detergent. The kitchen probably hasn’t properly set its rinse cycle. Also, the service is better at the Fairview Road location.

Their Phở is ok, but the broth will need more flavor. I usually get the # 101 with tendons and tripes. If you are really hungry, order the XL!!!

Like the food, the service is good too. Bubble tea is awesome! I dont know what they are called but the dumplings with cream cheese filling are to die for, they are soo good! They bring good sized meals, and they are always fresh and warm. Nice people, good food.
