Wicked Chocolate

I’m a serious chocoholic and I love artisan chocolates so when I came across wicked on a trip through the farmers market I bought a box sampling both their chocolates and the shots. They looked good and cost about the same as a great truffle — nearly $ 2 a piece.
Well… I was seriously disappointed. Actually that’s a bit mildly put because some of the chocolates tasted so poorly I was repulsed and didn’t finish them. This is relatively unheard of for me especially when I was able to select the assortment.
The truffles were terrible to OK. The chocolate itself was ok but the inside was just off. Most tasted nothing like what they should have. Orange truffles are some of my favs (either natural orange or even artificial cheaper crappy flavouring) and these tasted nothing like orange in any variation. Pistachio tasted something like cream cheese that was about to turn. Some that should have been non-​floral tasted like perfume and not in a good way. It was quite off putting. My husband has gotten a few also and although he ate his he thought they were just ok. I believe he favoured the white chocolates (which I reject as chocolate and thus didn’t pick). I haven’t got anything bad to say about the shots… but I could have bought a cheaper box from london drugs for what they were.
I would never buy these again. I think I’d resist snacking them if they ended up at work too. If all chocolate tasted like these I’d have a good cry and probably stand a better chance of being healthier because it would cure my obsession.
