There tonight with a party of eight. Room is boring and run down. Empty electronics boxes and styrofoam clutter one side of the room. Nachos are bland. Wings are rubbery. Room is so loud it’s hard to converse. On the plus side the beer is cold and lively and the waitress is amazing. She has more customers than she should have to deal with because the room is understaffed, but she is amazing which makes the service OK. Definitely not interested in going back.

This bar is alright. There’s nothing unique about it, but if you’re in the area and you need a beer, I’m sure it will do the trick. The food was actually pretty decent. My burger was flavorful, though the fries were a bit salty. Our waitress was nice, but she seemed tired and wasn’t that attentive. My friend ordered a Caesar, and it was like a salt bomb. She had two sips, and couldn’t drink it anymore. At least they know about using salt, but they go a bit overboard. Not a place I’d necessarily rush back to, but it does the trick for one seeking a basic bar.

Best hot wings in the entire city. IMO! It’s a tiny little strip mall pub that is guarenteed to be exactly what you’d expect. I wouldn’t take my grandma here, but I’d definitely go with some college friends for cheap beer and wings!

The Weaselhead is a clean, small, friendly pub on 37th St SW. I was there recently on a Wednesday evening, and was really impressed with their offerings. That could be because of their 9 cent wing special, available Monday and Wednesday, and their $ 4 domestic half jugs. The wings were hot, crispy, and delicious. The beer was always cold, and arrived promptly, thanks to the attentive, friendly staff. The service was all the more impressive, as the pub was jam packed with revellers partaking of the deals. It’s a diverse crowd at the Weaselhead — young and old alike. Owing to its proximity to Mount Royal University, and the pub’s daily specials, this place is a favourite of students and bargain hunters alike. Three cheers for the Weaselhead! Or four, or five…

There isn’t too much to be said about this place. It’s a pretty standard pub in amidst a small strip mall in the Glamorgan area. At Weaselhead you get your beer, pub food, sports, and average service. I can’t say that the food is the best I’ve had, but it suits a pub nonetheless. The food seems a little greasier than other pubs in the city, which is kind of crappy, but the beer is reasonably priced and they have good specials quite often. The ladies who serve your beer aren’t anything to write home about. They are sometimes super nice, but other times couldn’t care less about the tables they are serving. There have been times when our waitress sits at the bar with the bartender and neglects to serve the tables. I attribute it to laziness, but perhaps she was just having a bad day. Weaselhead has good and bad things about it, making it a very average pub.
