History

Established in 1990.

in 1990 the business was located in a trailer at the corner of Anderson road and 37th street. In 1993 the Chief David Crowchild building was built. In 2015 the new Chief David Crowchild building was finished. The official grand opening of the new Chief David Crowchild building is on May 1, 2015.

I have been employed at the Tsuu T’ina Nation Gas Stop since July 1996. I started off as a gas jockey, worked my way to cashier then to supervisor. In 2001 I started to work in the Gas Stop office. In 2008 I became the Assistant manger up to now.

Cheap gas, friendly & quick service, tax free snacks. What else do you need in a gas station? Besides clean washrooms, but really, have you ever seen clean washrooms at any gas station?
The gas is always cheaper here than anywhere else, so watch out for long lineups at the pumps, especially during peak periods. I always fill up here whenever I come to Calgary.
For those with an Alberta-​issued tax exemption card (issued to Status Indians, and good on-​reserve only) this is your only option to use it in the Calgary area.
… And don’t forget to check out White Eagle Crafts at the back of the store.

«Hey! Turn around! You’re not supposed to park that way! Move!!!» said the group of dudes to me as I parked my car at a gas pump.
Apparently, I don’t know how to read signs and totally threw a monkey wrench into the system. I guess there’s only one direction to park when fueling. «EXUUUUUSE ME!!»
Well, I just wanted to wipe the bugs off my windshield, but dang – take a chill pill. (Once I turned around, the big scary one apologized and welcomed me to the Tsuu T’ina rez. It was all good).
Ended up only getting a little bit of gas. I really wanted to check out the gift store they had inside. Unfortunately, right when I walked in, they were closin’ shop!
«DANG!» I said in a Napolean Dynamite voice (FYI, I do that alot).
Well, I wanted to support this Native-​owned venture in some way. I ended up picking up an expensive map, and I was on my way (making sure to follow the SIGNS!!).
