Great kids play place with lots to do– huge play space for older kids, small place for toddlers, trampoline, climbing wall, laser tag and it’s clean. Get here early ‘cuz it fills up.

Super clean and fun! I’m a nanny and we’ve been here twice, the kids love it! Lots for them to do and its clean!!! That’s one of the best things about this please, the bathrooms, play structure everything is super clean! The staff is super friendly and very helpful! Week day morning for the first hour is really nice and quiet, its age appropriate and the 2 sections are separated nicely but still all on one place. It’s awesome! I also really like the snack and lunch selections, no greasy food! Relatively healthy! Great place to spend some time burning off energy in the colder weather!!!

It may be impossible to not have a good time here but the next time you go to tommy K play take a look at how dirty the place is. The toddler area has dirt caked on the toys. It look like they picked them up from a free ad on kijiji. Yuck!

We should have played in the rain today(June 24), 2012)… a whole lot safer. My wife and I typically enjoy bringing our two little ones(2.5&4.5 years old) to Tommy K Play. We figured with all the rain going on and we weren’t able to participate in U4 soccer yesterday… a little fun at Tommy K Play was in order. We should have decided to play in the rain instead… DEARPARENTS… specifically the 90% of you that just sit and read a book, read your phone or iPad… ah… news flash. TKP isn’t a coffee shop! Two things are happening… either it’s your child running over other children, pushing and kicking(yes, I saw«kicking» today) or it’s your child GETTING pushed and kicked! If you want your child to experience a little rough and tough peer play… fantastic… enrol them into a controlled sporting environment like soccer, hockey, rugby & lacrosse. I witnessed one child(Tan Shorts, about 4yrs old) actually kick another child(Innocent Girl, about 3yrs old) on a self propelled cart. Apparently, Tan Shorts wanted to ride Innocent Girl’s cart. I quickly addressed one of the three(maybe four) staff on duty so that she could deal with this … she kind of did but with out much success… she gave Tan Shorts his own cart but didn’t seem to make any effort to find his parent(s). I watched the Tan Pants throw more than a few random tantrums… during our hour long visit, I was never able to determine who his parent(s) were… sad for him. There was two Young Boys running around like they were the only ones in the place. They would go as fast as they could up the ramp and then down the slide… heaven forbid your child was going too slow for them as the Young Boys would just boulder their way buy… often stepping on the hands and legs around them. Later, the two same boys were riding those self propelled carts… one of them would ride the cart and the other would push as fast as he could. I watched them bump into other kids and then just as I arrived, they rear ended little girl — much to her grandmother’s shock and surprise. Again, ZERO supervision by their mother(a lady wearing a Grey Lulu Lemon with purple trim hoodie). The book she was reading must have been riveting because I rarely ever saw her poke her head up to watch these two boys)! Eventually, she got up to buy some food — silly me, I thought she was buying the Young Boys some lunch… nope, SHE was just hungry… We don’t go to TKP to have a coffee or read a book. We go there to INVEST time with our children, have some fun and play about… it’s normally a fun place but today was far and away from it. We know we’re not the only ones who feel the way we did today. We spoke to a few parents and grandparents with the same concerns. One poor Grandmother wanted to leave five minutes after she arrived… she was in shock that parents would just lounge about while their children were getting knocked around… or being the little knockers, themselves. As for the staff at TKP. Nice enough people… but with only 3, maybe 4 staff on duty, they are seriously outnumbered and unable to monitor the facility with any kind of proper control and safety. This was our worst experience to date… If you’re going to go, for the sake of a safe experience, do not let your children leave your sight. PS — to the 90%‘rs… leave your books and iPad at home and use your iPhone to take pictures of your children having fun with YOU.

This is a brand new indoor playground for kids. The best part is, there is something for kids of all ages. A separate small area for babies and toddlers with toys, blocks, and plush areas to jump into is along the rear of the facility. This area is gated and surrounded by a counter with bar stools to «watch» your kids. I personally think you should be with your kids more, especially since at this age kids don’t really share very well etc. The big play structure for older kids is fantastic. It is safe and clean and a lot of fun for the kids. Smaller kids will have a hard time climbing up some of the parts(including the pathway to the big slide) so smaller kids will need help from a caregiver. At busy times the older kids tend to trample the smaller kids anyway so supervision is a good idea. Menu options are healthy and moderately priced with a good selection of adult beverages as well(coffee, cappuccino etc) Rest rooms were clean and tidy with stools for toddlers to reach the sink. This is a great place to take kids to blow of steam, but I would recommend going at off times.(ie. weekday mornings)

Time to unleash your inner child &/or turn your little ones loose! Tommy K Play is an amazing indoor wonderland, recently open in the far south yonder of Calgary. A great indoor playground, with some fun additions — a Mission Impossible style laser maze & a roller race track. Best of all, adults can play too(FREE! even.) Their security setup is amazing. They have monitors everywhere, so if you need a break from chasing the kiddos, you can plop yourselves at a table, or one of their comfy leather chairs while you enjoy free wireless or satellite tv, while still being able to keep track of those you’re with. It is very clean & as pleasant as an environment as one can expect from a child-centred recreational facility. Definitely an easy way to pass a few comfortable hours on these dreary winter days we seem to be cursed with.(Even my almost 11 year old loves it here!) A full service café is on site. Prices are reasonable for the most part, with lots of healthy offerings for little ones. Word of caution — the coffee was terrible enough that I have never worked up the nerve to order it again. No outside food & drinks either. Lockers! They have plenty. Bring your own lock with you if you want to store things securely.
