Established in 1985.

togo tire was started in april of 1985 by dan @ clayton spencer.

a father @ son team that continued until 1994 when clayton spencer retired. dan spencer has been running togo tire ever since with some excellant employees to back him up.

i have been in the tire business for over 30 years and have been running togo tire for over 26 years. i am a firm believer in being honest and fair, selling people what they need not what i want them to have.

my father taught me that you have two options in business, option one treat them how you would expect to be treated. good service and prices and quality workmanship. option # 2 is NOT AN OPTION

This is my second visit to TOGO Tires and as always, stellar service. Dan is excellent and took the time to explain to me what I needed and why. Well within budget and in and out in under an hour. I highly recommend his team!

Great place just off of MacLeod Trail. These guys know what they are doing. I got a great price on new tires and the service was much better than the big chain stores. It was refreshing to be treated like a valued customer. At a few other tire shops I was either ignored or treated like an uninformed (stupid) female.
Jason and Jesse treated me with respect, listed to me and answered my questions. Two thumbs up guys. See you soon for winter tires!

I went to get a tire fixed earlier today and left a happy customer once again after a few minutes — the shop was not too busy.
This is my second time here, last time was a little bit over a year ago. Jason looked after me both times and both times he was as helpful, polite, and expeditious. Since then, a few of my friends and relatives have gone to them and they were all well looked after.
Prices are VERY COMPETITIVE and they apparently have a wide selection of new and used tires. THUMBS UP!

Because they feel like it…
I have been buying Tires exclusively from Dan at Togo Tire for 15 years. They have a wonderful service where, if you purchase tires from them, they agree to provide storage of your tires in the off season. This is fantastic as I have no place to store them. Until one spring, after having my tires swapped, I find my winter tires stuffed into my back seat. After approaching Dan about it, he stated that they would no longer be storing my tires as they don’t have room (what about the spot on the shelf where my tires just came off?). I reminded Dan of our agreement, but he straight out told me they were not going to honor it. But Dan, does your word mean nothing? «No, we just don’t want to store your tires anymore.»
What the heck Dan. Keep your word and agreements and you will keep your customers! You really put me in a hard place here.

I have been a loyal customer of Togo for 19 years, not anymore! Recently purchased a set of BFG AT TA’s. One of the tires was a dud, shook the truck terribly. Togo replaced it. But the other tires needed balancing still. Brought my truck back for them to look at it and all they did was put the original dud tire back on and sent me on my way. The other tires balance nicely, the bad tire has almost ½ pound of weights on it. Now the owner, Dan, refuses to fix the problem. He recommended the tires! NEVER go here.

I really liked my experience with Togo. I was looking for a new set of tires because my dealership broke it to me that my tires weren’t worth even rotating due to their poor state. Plus, I had three different types of tires on my car (don’t ask, and don’t lecture me).
Naturally, the dealership had, like, three types of tires to choose from, in increasingly disgusting prices, and not even that great of a tire. So, I opted to take my poor car home and look around. My dad has dealt with Togo before and within the day I had an email of a list of tires I could choose from, plus prices. I did some research online and found a brand/​style of tire that’s fairly new to the U.S., pretty much unheard of in Canada but very affordable and super awesome performance.
He had them in within the week and had mounted them on my car.
And he even discounted the cost a little by buying my terrible, terrible tires, which I hadn’t even purchased from him.
Customer service? At its best.

I’ve been buying tires from Dan at Togo for a few years now and I’m sold on doing business here. Originally, I needed a good used tire and found Togo via the yellow pages. It turned out Togo sells new tires too. A few years later, I have now bought 3 sets for 3 different cars. In each case my satisfaction level with Togo and the tires has been far higher than all of my previous replacement tire purchase experience. The reason is, I am never at the mercy of a large merchandiser of tires, because Togo does not display or promote particular brands of tires. Using my own research resources (e.g.
), I narrow my tire choice down to 2 or 3 tire brands/​models, then I ask Dan to comment and price them out. Usually, when I check, his prices are as good as any other Calgary source for the same products and his advice is valuable, because he is not wedded to any brands. And Dan always does exactly what he says he will do, promptly, and does not forget important details. As long as Togo Tire doesn’t get too big it will stay #1 with me.
