I never knew this church existed near the south area. Then again my lack of awareness for religious institutions in this city is uncanny. Save for St. Bonaventure and Knox United, this is probably the third church I’ve been to that I can remember. It’s an impressive looking building, one that you can see as soon as you drive off the traffic circle at the entrance of McKenzie town. Inside is very spacious filled with religious art. I went here for my niece’s confirmation as her NINONG, which I was also her Godfather for her baptism so that makes me a Level 3 figure. I think that means I hold precedence and influence over her political and existentialist views. No more bubblegum gifts for birthdays, only Marxist and Nietzsche literature. Just kidding I’m not a communist or a nihilist, maybe I’ll throw some Noam Chomsky articles, teach her a thing or two about propaganda so she doesn’t flood my FB with her Justin Bieber status updates. ANYWAYS, the confirmation was handled very well by the parish. Several schools participates and they even had the bishop of Calgary come(you best believe I snapped up a pic with the man himself!) IN conclusion(considering there wasn’t much to this review). St. Albert’s is a great parish for Catholics around the area. A great way to get involved in and meet members of the community who share the same religious values. 5⁄30 — Underdog Challenge

This beautiful parish is in the heart of Prestwick in Calgary. The upside is that the parking lot is huge and the parish can accommodate a massive number of people. When that happens though, it can be hard to hear from the back.
