History

Established in 1978.

Sheila’s Drapery has been serving Calgary and the surrounding areas since 1978. It was started by Ted & Sheila Knapik and while Sheila is no longer in the business, Ted continues on as the owner and designer for the company. Sheila’s Drapery has not only completed projects in the Calgary area but in Hawaii, Russia and other locations in both Canada and the United States. Sheila’s Drapery has been chosen the Consumer Choice Award winner for the best drapery and blind store in Calgary for the last 12 years. In 2007 Sheila’s Drapery became the first Hunter Douglas Gallery Showroom in Calgary and in 2009, after extensive training, became a Hunter Douglas Certified Motorization Specialist. Never one to rest on his laurels, Ted Knapik continues to expand his knowledge in the technological aspects of the blind and drapery business to better serve customers looking for state of the art window coverings.

Business Owner

Ted started Sheila’s Drapery in the seventies and has turned Sheila’s Drapery into a household name when it comes to window coverings. Ted is a born and raised Calgarian and is great supporter of everything Calgary-​the Calgary Flames, the Calgary Stampeders and a great many charities based in Calgary.
