My daughters have danced here for years in the open division. In the past two to three years, as the Kilgours had less influence, the school has changed. My daughter used to dance in a class of at most 12 to 15 kids. The total is now 20 kids for a ballet class(levels consistent with grade 2 and 3) without an assistant. There is no way to adequately teach that many children with one teacher. Ballet requires many corrections made consistently. The modern class taught at the grade 2, and grade 3, level had just under 40 children each, without an assistant. It is possible that this is not typical for all open division classes, but before registering, ask first.

I took a free introduction class here last week, and being my first ballet lesson I was impressed. The studio has a good feel to it, and the staff were helpful in getting to the mens change room. Which is located far away as I am sure they do not have that many male students. My instructor was warm and helpful and made me feel a part of the class. Again being my first time, and the rest of the class having had about 3 lessons I had a lot to learn but by the end of the class I can say that if time allowed I would sign up for lessons. Anyone looking to get some good quality teaching in this art should check them out. I did look at the rates and they are very reasonable when considering how long the lessons go for.
