I’ve been running out of the Eau Claire Running Room for about 5 years and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a running group. You can go into any Running Room on a Wednesday or Sunday for their practice club — basically an opportunity to join other runners for runs of varying paces and distances. I have done several clinics at Eau Claire and they are fantastic. It’s a supportive atmosphere designed to get you to the start AND finish line of your goal race. Clinics are $ 70 and give you between 10 and 16 weeks of training. Even if you decide not to participate in a clinic, you can always attend Practice Club on Wednesdays and Sundays. The people that I have met through their clinics have become one of the highlights of the clinics themselves. This location is a good size and has a great variety of running gear as well. I tend to shop at a variety of running stores depending on what I’m looking for. However, if you are looking for running shoes I highly recommend that you get professionally fitted at a running store that understands how to do it properly. Bring your old running shoes with you so they can assess wear patterns on them. Bottom line — the people(staff and fellow runners) are friendly, the environment is encouraging, and the routes that they run tend to be pretty great as they are along the river. If you are thinking about checking out Practice Club, send me a message and I will go with you! 16⁄30

I have been taking Learn to Run for women at the Running Room and they have been absolutely awesome! I am very much a beginner and their staff’s encouragement and patience has been keeping me going!
