We are a traditional Pawn Shop. We offer Cash loans and hold a person’s item or items as collateral on this loan. These are usually 30 day short term loans. When a person comes to pick up their items, they pay back the original amount plus a fee for interest and expenses. They then get their item or items back. The person can elect not to pick the item up and therefore is deemed to have sold it to us. We then put the item or items out for sale. We avoid loaning money on broken, abused, non-resellable and items where the ownership may be in question. Forfeited items are usually sold from 40−80% of retail, with most items at around 50−60% of retail.
History
Established in 1982.
The original building was a bank, and then turned into a Radio Shack sometime in the 70’s. In 1982 it became a Pawnshop. Cousins Mike and John Sanford are the 3rd generation owners.
