This place looks intimidating because it looks super trendy and modern, which immediately makes my wallet cringe, and then I typically walk past and go into the Bay.
Finally I wrangled the courage to peek inside, and was pleasantly surprised at the reasonable prices. No, its not Joe Fresh or Target prices (sigh, my fashion sense). But for a cute cocktail dress, or a nice accessory that isn’t cheaply made, Purr has some nice choices.
I picked out a really pretty white lace dress for my bridal shower, with a cute brown leather belt. It came to around 100 dollars. For a nice dress that’s fairly standard, so I was quite happy with my purchase, and still happy with the quality of the dress.
They have nice big couches in their fitting room area, which makes the men happy as well.

Purr has changed a lot in the past few years, and that’s a good thing. The Scotia Centre location is the newest, and in my opinion the best.
They constantly have new items coming in daily, and the prices range from mid range to high, depending ont eh designers. I appreciate the fact that they have many smaller, and lesser know designers, and don’t sell in mass, so the pieces you buy aren’t seen on every single person you see on the street.
Another bonus about Purr at Scotia is the fantastic customer service. This is huge, as customer service in retail barely exists anymore. I see a group of regular girls there — the apparent low turnover rate speaks volumes about this place — and each one of them always says hi, and asks to see how I’m doing. They are never pushy, or rush you. In fact, I’m in there so often, and buy so much, I was recently given a discount on my purchases. They even ask you if you want to be on a list for when new items you are looking for come in.
So, if you’re looking for unique and well priced items, head to Purr.

This Purr store is finally open and if you work downtown Calgary then lunch hour shopping just got a helluvah lot easier!
This store is smaller than its counterparts around the city, however it’s still got quite a few of the same goods.
The service was great and because this location is new, it was absolutely empty — which made shopping a breeze!
Located right next to Starbucks (could things be more purrrrfect!!!), this location of Purr carries everything from sunglasses to sundresses.
