The cutest bowling alley in Calgary. It’s like stepping back in time to the mid 70s, where the technology and décor has been perfectly preserved. Clean, bright, inexpensive, and quiet for a bowling alley. There is also glow in the dark bowling on Saturday evenings if you really feel like tearing it up.

Paradise Lanes, located in the bowels of a stripmall on 17th Ave SE, is a no-frills 5-pin bowling alley. No bells, no whistles, just 18 lanes and a lot of formica. Let’s call it a «true bowlers» bowling alley. No catering to young hipsters with glow bowling or theme nights here. It’s strictly old school. And old school was definitely in session when I was there. I’d put the median age of the patrons at about 65, which is kinda cool in its own way. The prices are reasonable(It costs $ 5 per adult per game) and the alley is extremely well lit and clean. They are also a licenced establishment. So, if living in the fast lane ain’t your bag and you’re a serious, no-nonsense bowler, than Paradise Lanes and its no-frills approach may be right up your alley.
