McDonald’s

The A&W was packed so we came here for our Sunday brunch. Huge mistake. It was slow as molasses in December to get our food. It was good as expected but what can you expect when there is no thought process involved when it’s all automated back there BUT you’d think with all the ‘time saving’ machines that do God knows what it’d be faster… NOPE!
Coffee, good. It was the only thing keeping me content enough to stay.
The place was filthy and the person in charge of cleaning things up was slower than the above mentioned molasses.

This McDonald’s is usually one of the worst in the city but with new menu and ordering system we had to wait 23 minutes for our order. We didn’t even order off the CBO.

What happened??? McD is what it is but could service be slower? Staff seem uninterested even for a fast food job. If I want to wait 20 minutes for a burger there are thousands of better options!

So one day after a lovely dinner with my friends we went for a walk around Glenmore Reservoir and decided to go to this McDonalds for a warm drink and a potty break. We went to the washroom first where half the toilets weren’t flushed. «Why?» you ask, because they were automatically flushing toilets. «But, Clara, if they flush automatically then they should all be flushed.» Not when there is a seat lid blocking the sensor. Come on McDonalds, you think we’re going to put the lid down? Hell’s no, I ain’t touching that thing, lord knows what kind of germs are there.
Anyways, the service wasn’t bad, they only had one working debit machine so it was one guy all by himself running the front desk, using the one working till for debit, and another for the occasional cash order, at least he did what he could to get people served fast. The place was relatively clean for tables so we sat down and started enjoying our drink. Before I get to the disastrous part of the night I have to say: I had a hot chocolate, and they put whipped cream on top, I don’t know what happened but once it sunk to the bottom the whipped cream like clumped up in my hot chocolate and it was disgusting, same thing happened with my friends drink.
Anyways, the staff at this location for sure deserve some major high fives, and a bonus. A party bus of about 50 drunk out of their mind teenagers show up and trash the place. I used to work at a McDonalds and I see no purpose to their new self serve drink stations, pouring someone pop takes no time at all, and refills didn’t happen that often honestly. So these kids are asking for a glass for water and filling it with pop, I think maybe one of them bought some fries, and that was it; these kids were throwing the kids high chairs around, they were drinking beer and jäger in the store, and screaming at the top of their lungs. Sheer mayhem. If I was employed there I would have called the cops after ten minutes. But the staff put up with it, let the place be trashed, and they had a huge mess to clean up that night.
