Kilian International Design

They have a wide selection of modern kitchen accessories and cutlery. I still have a hard time grasping the cost for simple daily appliances (ex. ~$ 100 for a pepper dispenser). I’m open to hearing someone out, so I can gain a better appreciation.
I’m glad Mike M. mentioned the 3 levels. I had no idea, and accidentally bumped into the sign. They have beautiful furniture on the 2^nd/​3^rd floor, so don’t miss out. I was caught day dreaming of owning one of their desks. Great use of space in displaying their items.

Sometimes I like to go into Kilian and day-​dream about what my kitchen might someday look like. If I had my choice, it would look exactly like this store.
The last time I was there I was looking for a gift and the staff helped me find exactly what I was looking for. Which isn’t always an easy thing when most of their gadgets need some sort of explanation. Like the cellphone, you don’t know how much you needed some of these kitchen accessories until you started using them!
A lot of people don’t know that it is actually three stories, the stair case is hidden behind the counter, but make sure you check out the top two floors for all things decoration and bedding. While I can’t always afford what they are selling, it often gives me lots of inspiration to get my designing butt in gear!
My only complaint would be their hours. They seem to have random times that aren’t always convenient. Other than that, I always have a fun time at Kilian!

Kilian is a chic upscale housewares and furniture store in the fashionable Kensington district. The sleek three story building is home to a dizzying array of modern and hip tables and chairs, dishes and crystal, knives and cutlery. Kilian’s has a killer selection of funky leather furniture on the second floor, and if you venture up another set of stairs, you’ll be treated to their clearance selection, where prices were more than reasonable on everything from bars and stools to leather couches and lamps.
The main floor has tons of kitchen gadgets, both fun and functional, so this would be a great place to shop for a wedding gift for your trendy friends.

This is a very high end kitchen and decorative item shop on Kensington.
Their wares are sparkly and of course of the highest quality. Come here for a huge selection of kitchen items, knives, cutlery, salt and pepper shakes, coasters, grinders, and graters. Beautiful crystal glass sets and a never ending array of objects in chrome and stainless steel. Great oblong and unique shaped cutting boards in an assortment of high calibre woods.
What few furniture they do have is gorgeous, glass coffee tables in retro shapes, an oval egg chair that you can hide in and a great flat screen television frame that will complement any high end interior.
The pricing here is higher end because the items reflect that in quality.

I don’t know what my deal is with interior design stores lately, but I just can’t get enough of them. You’d think I was furnishing a brand new condo… oh wait, I am, in my dreams that is.
Kilian caught my eye as I walked by their display window and saw their ‘Ex Knife Set’ — a figurine of a man with 5 knives sticking out of him. It’s a knife set and holder and let’s face it, it made me giggle.
Kilian has got a wide variety of interior design products. They’ve got everything from kitchen stuff to bedroom stuff and their merchandise is extremely appealing.
The prices are reasonable and the location is central — right in the heart of Kensington!
You know what I’m about to do? I’m about to take a nap so that I can go back to my dreams and continue furnishing my brand new loft, courtesy of Kilian.
